Canadian companies to present their solutions at innovative tech showcase
KITCHENER, Ontario: Communitech Fast Track Health, in partnership with CAN Health Long-Term Care Innovation and Scaling Network and Bruyère, announced the ten Canadian tech companies selected to pitch market-ready solutions to improve the quality of life for long-term care (LTC) residents and operators across the country.
With a focus on accelerating innovation in health-care across Canada, CAN Health and Bruyère work with health-care operators to understand their challenges and connect them with technology solutions.
This spring, Communitech Fast Track Health launched a call for tech solutions to address the following challenges faced by Canadian LTC homes:

The ten selected companies include:
The presented solutions will have the potential opportunity to be piloted or procured by challenge partners and long-term care organizations across the country. Tech founders will also have the chance to receive growth coaching and feedback from industry leaders through the program’s strategic partnerships.
“At Communitech, we’re focused on bringing together the right people, opportunities and resources at the right time. Our job is to connect and convene our ecosystem to catalyze learning and growth opportunities for our founders. Fast Track Health is just one example of how we can provide the tools and support needed to drive positive change and, in this case, enable founders to make a difference in long-term care,” said Joel Semeniuk, Chief Strategy Officer at Communitech.
“Innovation is key to improving the care and quality of life for long-term care residents. This showcase will introduce groundbreaking tech solutions to the health sector, helping to address critical challenges and ultimately change how we support our aging population,” said Guy Chartrand, President and CEO of Bruyère.
“The CAN Health Network is committed to bringing together Canadian companies and health-care providers to solve real problems in health-care. In partnership with Bruyère and Communitech, we are excited to showcase these innovative Canadian solutions to help improve the quality of care for long-term care residents and operators,” said Dr. Dante Morra, Chair of the CAN Health Network.
