New collaboration unlocks power of multi-modal GenAI applications, creates native integration within Azure
SAN FRANCISCO: Weights & Biases, an AI developer platform, today announced a deepened collaboration with Microsoft, including a new integration designed to simplify and elevate the process of fine-tuning a diverse range of LLMs. The integration between Weights & Biases and Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service allows developers to automatically track aspects of the fine-tuning jobs, compare model versions, and evaluate and trace LLM-powered apps, ensuring the models meet specific organizational needs while maintaining high performance and accuracy.
Weights & Biases provides AI developers with the tools needed to build models faster, fine-tune LLMs, and develop GenAI applications with confidence for enterprises of all sizes in any vertical. The company is trusted by some of the most advanced enterprises and the leaders in the generative AI industry and supports all the leading cloud architecture platforms, including Azure.
“At Weights & Biases our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers,” said Lukas Biewald, CEO and Co-Founder of Weights & Biases. “Through our deepened collaboration with Microsoft, we’re streamlining the way customers can not only deploy Weights & Biases, but also efficiently track, fine-tune, and develop GenAI applications so they can leverage the power of LLMs in the real world.”
Azure OpenAI Service offers a wide variety of models, including GPT-4, GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini. The integration with W&B Models, which offers powerful capabilities for experiment tracking, visualization, model management, and collaboration, allows businesses to fine-tune these state-of-the-art models to meet enterprise-specific needs while maintaining high performance and accuracy. The integration also provides robust capabilities for tracking model training, facilitates collaboration among data science teams, and provides real-time monitoring and evaluation for rapid identification of issues and continuous optimization.
In addition to Azure OpenAI Service integration, Weights & Biases also introduced an integrated development experience through Azure Native Integrations, allowing customers a seamless and frictionless way to access Weights & Biases directly within the Azure portal, SDK, and CLI. Now available in private preview, this functionality will provide an end-to-end workflow for Weights & Biases directly within the Azure development environment.
“With Weights & Biases integration, developers can seamlessly track, version, and scale their generative AI models from prototype to production starting with our Azure OpenAI Service," said Asha Sharma, CVP of Product for Microsoft AI Platform. "Through this expanded integration, AI teams can optimize their workflows and manage models directly within Azure AI Foundry, accelerating the delivery of enterprise-grade AI applications."
