ZeroTier continues its strong growth trajectory, stepping over the 5,000 paid users mark, while also closing out 2024 with strong enterprise momentum

IRVINE, Calif.: ZeroTier, one of the world’s leading software-defined network companies, has announced today that it has reached 5,000 paid accounts on its platform. This milestone highlights the growing adoption of the platform's secure, private virtual networks, offering flexibility and enhanced security from enterprise deployments to individual users worldwide.

This latest achievement comes as ZeroTier closes out 2024 with strong yearly growth, including doubling paid monthly subscriber growth and surpassing 2 million daily active devices in the second half of the year with customers in over 130 countries worldwide.

“Following the close out of our Series A round, we accelerated our product commercialization efforts and focused on new customer acquisition and our enterprise clients, and we are proud to announce we have now surpassed 5,000 paid accounts,” said Andrew Gault, ZeroTier CEO. “This is evidence of the growing number of global enterprises and small businesses who are looking for a flexible, scalable and more secure alternative to traditional VPNs and legacy networking approaches.”

ZeroTier supports millions of connected devices and 600,000 network administrators across more than 230 countries and territories worldwide. In addition to a robust community of more than 400,000 engaged members, ZeroTier offers device-centric networking solutions purpose-built for large deployments of userless devices as seen in IoT; a software-defined solution that is hardware and ISP-agnostic to create a bridge across disparate networks; and built-in security, including end-to-end encryption, unique cryptographic IDs for device authorization, micro-segmentation of networks and centralized security monitoring.

“We’re looking forward to a strong 2025,” Gault continued. “We foresee further strengthening our commercial growth along with some key platform enhancements that will change the landscape of global networking.”
