SIOUX FALLS, S.D.: #LetsGetGrowing--Expansion Capital Group (ECG) has once again been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Fintech, marking the company’s fourth appearance on the prestigious list. The annual awards program, launched in 2017 by Arizent and Best Companies Group, honors standout employers across the financial technology sector.

“At the heart of our growth is a culture built on trust, purpose, and people. We believe that when you create an environment where teams feel valued and empowered, they don’t just do great work — they deliver exceptional service,” said Tim Mages, the CEO of Expansion Capital Group. “This recognition reflects how deeply our culture drives every part of our business — from how we support one another internally to how we serve our strategic referral partners and empower small business entrepreneurs to seize every opportunity.”

The Best Places to Work in Fintech program identifies and celebrates companies with outstanding workplace cultures and employee satisfaction. The 2025 list includes 29 companies serving a broad spectrum of the financial services ecosystem, including banking, mortgage, insurance, payments, and financial advisory sectors. The results were published by Arizent media brands including American Banker, National Mortgage News, Financial Planning, and Digital Insurance.

“The Best Places to Work in Fintech ranking is a glimpse into the company practices and policies that are popular with employees in the financial sector,” said Penny Crosman, executive editor, technology at American Banker. “This year’s honorees can serve as an inspiration or nudge to companies looking to attract and retain top talent.”

To be eligible, companies must provide technology-based products or services that support the delivery of financial services, be in business for at least one year, and employ a minimum of 15 people in the U.S. The selection process involved a two-part survey: one evaluating company policies and practices, and another measuring the employee experience. Best Companies Group oversaw the data collection and analysis to determine final rankings.
