Healthcare AI leader joins the clinical data intelligence platform following series A funding round

PALO ALTO, Calif.: #AI--Evidently, the clinical data intelligence platform, has named healthcare AI sales leader Chris Cowart as head of growth, responsible for driving new business and expanding market presence. As healthcare AI solutions flood the market, Chris will lead brand growth and new client acquisition in response to increased demand for AI-assisted chart review and reimbursement support solutions that reduce burnout and improve revenue. He is the third leadership hire for Evidently since the organization closed its series A funding round in December 2024.

Chris brings a deep background of knowledge in health AI, previously holding leadership roles at Xsolis, as well as 15 years of business development and sales roles at healthcare and B2B organizations.

“Chris is the ideal person to guide and drive the dramatic growth Evidently has seen over the last few months,” said Feng Niu, CEO of Evidently. “Healthcare organizations are rapidly uncovering AI’s value in supporting providers, improving care and identifying new reimbursement opportunities. We’re thrilled for Chris to join our passionate team of technology and healthcare leaders as we work to help provider organizations access AI’s benefits.”

Built on 15 years of research on deep learning, knowledge graphs and LLMs, Evidently’s clinical data intelligence platform is trained on millions of healthcare concepts and connections, allowing its AI tools to quickly read, understand and summarize all aspects of the patient chart, including all clinical notes, outside records, and scanned documents. Insights are seamlessly integrated into providers’ existing workflows and tech stacks, working hand-in-hand with solutions like ambient scribes to save providers hours in the EMR while uncovering millions of dollars by closing gaps in coding and documentation.

“The vast majority of my career has been in healthcare, and over the last decade, I’ve seen just how impactful AI can be in alleviating some of the most serious problems in healthcare today,” Cowart said. “I’m excited to continue my work in healthcare AI with Evidently. The team brings a clear passion and deep expertise that’s reflected in the strength of the platform and the enthusiasm of its clients. It’s clear there’s something special here, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
