New AI-powered features monitor preeclampsia risk, supporting women on a path to wellness

TUCSON, Ariz.: #Doula--Emagine Solutions Technology announces the addition of AI-supported wellness features to its already robust app – The Journey Pregnancy. The data-driven wellness features help patients understand their risk or propensity for preeclampsia, encouraging users to check in with their clinician if they have concerns about their health or notice changes.

To use the preeclampsia wellness features, patients can simply download The Journey Pregnancy app and consistently log their pregnancy symptoms, blood pressure (using revolutionary in-app vitals scanning technology), and other health metrics. The app will then provide a preeclampsia assessment, alerting at-risk women to consult a medical professional. Users can also receive 24/7 pregnancy support via Aria, the app’s personal virtual doula that taps preeclampsia, wellness, nutrition, and other pregnancy and postpartum information from research-backed resources.

Lastly, the app also contains a medication-logging feature, allowing those at risk for preeclampsia (and their doctors) to keep track of their medications.

Preeclampsia, a high blood pressure disorder, is a deadly condition of pregnancy, affecting over 11 million women globally each year and 1 in 7 hospital births in the U.S. Not only does preeclampsia cost over tens of thousands of lives globally each year, it is also an expensive burden for healthcare systems – costing the U.S. healthcare system over $2B annually.
