Cybersecurity upskilling innovator receives highest possible scores in 13 criteria, including Agentic AI readiness, gamification, competition and recognition, accessibility, and community

NEW YORK: Hack The Box (HTB), the global leader in AI-powered cybersecurity readiness, has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Cybersecurity Skills and Training Platforms, Q1 2026.

This recognition follows a highly structured and independent analysis by Forrester, renowned for their unbiased approach and rigorous evaluation process. HTB was among seven vendors evaluated based on a data-driven process that included comprehensive vendor profiles, verified capability demonstrations, direct customer references, and rigorous fact-checking.

HTB received the highest possible scores in 13 evaluation criteria, including agentic AI readiness, gamification, competition and recognition, learner experience and adoption, talent ecosystem integration, accessibility, and community, which HTB believes demonstrates the company’s ability to help organizations build resilient security teams and AI agents prepared for the next generation of cyber threats. For HTB, the recognition underscores its rapid evolution into a mature, enterprise-delivered cyber readiness platform.

“Hack The Box has evolved into a platform we can confidently operate at enterprise scale, particularly for strengthening defensive readiness,” said Balaji Prakash Rao, Chief Product Security Officer and Deputy CISO at Resideo. “We use it to build consistent capabilities across roles, align training to industry frameworks, and measure progress through reporting that supports real‑world security operations. What stands out most is Hack The Box’s continued investment in what’s next-operational readiness and AI‑augmented security-while maintaining the hands‑on, realistic simulations that drive measurable improvements for our cybersecurity teams.”

The Q1 2026 report evaluates the seven most significant cybersecurity skills and training platforms, assessing vendors based on their current offering and strategy. The report notes that HTB’s innovation strategy is “future-focused with pillars around AI security, emerging threats, and operational readiness.” The report also states, “Organizations looking to engage cybersecurity talent and prepare them for an agentic future through gamified, challenge-based learning will find Hack The Box a strong fit.”

“We believe the Forrester Wave findings reinforce a broader shift happening across the cybersecurity workforce,” said Gibb Witham, President of Hack The Box. “With a growing emphasis on AI-augmented environments, the findings highlight the importance of training platforms that help practitioners work effectively alongside AI systems and evaluate AI-generated outputs in real-world security operations.”

According to the report, “Hack The Box articulates a compelling vision for hybrid human-AI readiness, aiming to redefine capability measurement across people and AI agents.”

HTB is actively advancing research in AI-augmented cybersecurity operations. Last week, the company released findings from its AI-Augmented vs Human-Only Cybersecurity Performance Benchmark Report, the largest side-by-side benchmark of agentic AI and human performance on cybersecurity tasks to date.

“Over the past several years, we have invested heavily in building an enterprise-grade cyber readiness platform,” said Haris Pylarinos, Founder and CEO of Hack The Box. “For us, this recognition reflects the progress we’ve made, improving our platform scores across multiple enterprise capabilities while continuing to innovate in areas like AI-driven security operations and hands-on simulation training.”

2025 marked rapid innovation as HTB continues to advance its AI-augmented cybersecurity operations platform and expand its enterprise-grade capabilities for Fortune 500 organizations and government teams. HTB introduced AI Range, a controlled cyber range designed to test and benchmark autonomous AI security agents in realistic attack scenarios. The enterprise environment enables organizations to evaluate AI safety and performance against frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST/NICE and OWASP Top 10.

The company also launched Threat Range, an enterprise crisis simulation platform that places security teams and executive leadership in live breach scenarios to measure operational readiness and improve key response metrics such as mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR). In addition, HTB strengthened its defensive training capabilities by acquiring LetsDefend, a pioneering blue team upskilling platform, expanding hands-on SOC and blue-team simulation environments for enterprises, governments and managed security providers.
