New digital platform integrates leading rating agencies to accelerate high-integrity ARR projects globally

MINNEAPOLIS: EP Carbon today announced the launch of Drawn Carbon, a new platform designed to help early-stage nature-based carbon projects overcome persistent barriers to quality, transparency, and investment.

As scrutiny of carbon credits intensifies and buyers increasingly prioritize integrity, many early-stage ARR and REDD+ projects struggle to demonstrate quality, navigate complex requirements, and secure financing. Drawn Carbon aims to close that gap by giving developers a faster, clearer pathway from concept to crediting.

Grounded in 16 years of operational experience, Drawn Carbon builds on the approach to EP Carbon’s earlier Forest Carbon Works platform and is designed to scale globally. The platform digitizes project design, structures implementation, and enables real-time measurement, helping developers establish credible, investment-ready projects earlier in their lifecycle.

“The platform eliminates a huge amount of complexity,” said Michael Ackerman of the La Tigra ARR Project in Honduras. “You get expert project documentation in a matter of weeks, not years.” Ackerman said the platform is helping restore degraded forests while establishing the crediting pathway needed to attract project investment.

EP Carbon CEO Dr. Kyle Holland said Drawn Carbon reflects lessons learned from 16 years in the market. “It elevates accountability and proves quality in ways that haven’t been possible before,” Holland said. “Investors want transparency and line of sight into how projects perform. This platform delivers that digitally.”

A key feature of Drawn Carbon is its integration with independent carbon credit rating agencies, including BeZero, Calyx Global and Sylvera. Developers can request assessments at any stage of project development to promote quality and subsequent ratings. “We can deliver gap assessments quickly,” said Allister Furey, CEO of Sylvera. “Identifying risks earlier allows projects to take corrective action sooner, which ultimately accelerates the market’s shift toward higher-quality carbon credits.”

“We are happy to help Drawn Carbon identify key integrity issues early in their customer’s design process,” said Donna Lee, CEO of Calyx Global. Drawn Carbon interprets the assessment results to deliver actionable, expert recommendations to projects.

EP Carbon has supported more than 70 projects worldwide. Its prior platform, Forest Carbon Works, is now part of Chestnut Carbon. Holland said Drawn Carbon represents the company’s most scalable and quality-focused solution to date.

Drawn Carbon is now onboarding projects globally.
