GREENWICH, Conn.: Mann Partners today announced the appointment of David Cohen, Partner and Managing Director at Kelso & Company, to its Advisory Board. The appointment strengthens the firm’s private equity and human capital expertise as organizations confront increasingly complex operating model, talent, and growth challenges.

Cohen leads the Human Capital function at Kelso & Company, applying talent and human resources best practices to enhance the firm’s investment process and portfolio company performance, and support the firm’s specialist network.

Previously, Cohen held senior leadership roles at American Securities, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and General Electric. Over a 35-plus-year career, he has built and scaled organizations globally, with extensive experience launching and developing operations in India, China, Southeast Asia, and Japan. He began his career as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer, managing a rural development organization in Botswana.

“David is an industry innovator with a rare combination of deep private equity experience and human capital leadership,” said Alice Mann, Founder and CEO of Mann Partners. “At a moment when talent, technology, and operating model decisions are inseparable from value creation, his perspective is invaluable. I’ve benefited personally from David’s mentorship, and we’re excited to bring his insight and expertise to our clients, team, and broader network.”

“I’m excited to join the Mann Partners Advisory Board and contribute to the firm’s momentum and deep expertise,” said David Cohen. “The firm brings a distinctive, disciplined approach to aligning strategy, organization, and talent and I look forward to working with Alice, the team, and the Advisory Board to help leaders unlock sustainable value in an increasingly complex environment.”

Cohen joins an Advisory Board that includes leaders from private equity, organization design, and management consulting. The Mann Partners Advisory Board was established to broaden the firm’s perspective and experience as clients navigate accelerating change across talent markets, operating models, and technology adoption.
