CMMI AIM will formally launch at Capability Creates Conference, June 23-24, 2026
SCHAUMBURG, Ill.: #isaca--CMMI Institute, a global leader in helping organizations reduce risk, boost performance, and build capability, is now extending this guidance to artificial intelligence, and has recently completed a pilot program for its new AI Maturity (AIM) framework.
AIM enables organizations to assess, benchmark and improve how AI is implemented across real-world enterprise and regulatory environments, linking AI practices and governance to measurable, scalable outcomes.
The organizations who were evaluated as part of the pilot program were IBM Consulting, Infosys Limited and Government Technical Services Corporation (GTSC).
Additional organizations who led and served on the appraisals, delivered training and contributed expertise included representatives from Benchmarked Pty Ltd, CommandTec and KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP.
During the pilot, participating organizations collaborated closely with CMMI Institute to validate that CMMI AI maturity assessments can be applied reliably and consistently across diverse industries and domains. The pilot informed key aspects of AIM, including alignment to business objectives, consistency in AI practices, risk and regulatory management, and transparency in AI-driven decision-making.
