DALLAS & SAN DIEGO: Blue Yonder, the AI company for supply chain, today announced new Cognitive Solutions for Space Planning and Production Planning and Scheduling. The company also announced new AI agents, user experience enhancements and updates to its planning, warehouse and commerce solutions at ICON 2026, the company’s annual customer conference. The updates are designed to help customers improve decision-making, automate complex processes, enhance workforce productivity, and respond to disruption with greater speed and precision.

New Cognitive Solutions for Space Planning and Category Management

Cognitive Solutions for Space Planning and Category Management are now available on the Blue Yonder Platform and AI data cloud, with a single set of data aligning planograms across assortment and allocation, replenishment, warehousing, and transportation. A change on the store shelf will now flow directly into forecasts, ordering and load builds.

With this new capability, built on the Blue Yonder Network, suppliers, store teams and category managers can co-create planograms in real time. This helps them replace email-based collaboration with one planogram, one version of the truth, shared, shaped, and owned by everyone who needs it. On the store floor, associates now have a mobile experience with live planograms and step-by-step guidance, with overnight changes and compliance issues flagged directly on the floor. This gives them AI-assisted insights into inventory changes, ordering details and forecast revisions. New Space Planning capabilities allow retailers to move from cluster-level planogramming and ranging decisions to store-specific decisions grounded in category strategy, commercial priorities, space constraints, and the operational reality of each location, without adding resources or time to achieve the outcome.

New Cognitive Solutions for Production Planning and Scheduling

Blue Yonder launched its new Cognitive Solutions for Production Planning and Scheduling, designed to close the gap between strategic planning and the factory floor. The solutions are designed from the ground up to connect demand-driven supply planning bi-directionally to the factory floor. Planners can generate feasible plans that account for real material and capacity availability and real resource constraints, while minimizing changeovers and maximizing throughput, all done concurrently. Customers gain a visual command of what is happening across production resources, with the ability to model, adjust and optimize before changes filter into expensive mistakes on the floor.

The solution is paired with new capabilities in Blue Yonder's recently released Cognitive Solution for Integrated Business Planning, which surfaces the financial impact of product launch and portfolio rationalization strategies, demand and supply decisions, and sales and marketing plans in one plan, one version of the truth. This provides a concurrent view that tracks the collective impact across the business.
