NEW YORK: Uniswap Labs today announced four updates across Uniswap apps that make it easier for people to get started onchain, track their portfolio, and swap across chains.
The updates include In-App Wallet on the Uniswap Web App, profit and loss tracking, multichain portfolio view, and crosschain swaps. Together, they make Uniswap simpler to use from the moment someone opens the app.
Uniswap is DeFi’s leading decentralized exchange, with more than $4.4 trillion in all-time swap volume processed through the Uniswap Protocol and millions of swappers worldwide. It is also one of the first places many people interact with DeFi, internal Uniswap Labs research found 49.9% of new traders across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base who swapped in 2026 YTD made their first-ever swap on Uniswap, and 65.3% of new traders either started on Uniswap or came to Uniswap within 24 hours of their first onchain transaction.
As more people use Uniswap to access onchain markets, these updates are designed to remove some of the most common points of friction in DeFi – creating a wallet, managing assets across chains, understanding portfolio performance, and moving tokens between networks.
Create a wallet in seconds
With In-App Wallet, users can now create a wallet directly from the Uniswap Web App using FaceID, TouchID, or a passkey. There is no separate app to download and no seed phrase to write down at signup.
Users can pick a username, select a login method, and start using Uniswap in a few clicks. In-App Wallet works across every network Uniswap supports.
Behind the scenes, the embedded wallet infrastructure is powered by Privy. It is designed for fast signing across a globally distributed system. Key material is distributed rather than stored in one place, sensitive operations run inside cryptographically verifiable environments, and configurable signing rules help keep wallet activity within defined constraints. Uniswap Labs cannot access your keys or assets.
Sign in across devices
In-App Wallet works across browsers and devices. Users can log in on any device to access their wallet. If a user starts with a device-specific login method, like FaceID or TouchID, they can add additional methods like Google, Apple, or email for easier access across devices.
Self-custody, with export available any time
Easy onboarding does not have to come at the cost of self-custody. Users can export their recovery phrase from settings whenever they want.
When viewing a recovery phrase, users should make sure they are in a safe location. Anyone with access to the recovery phrase, also called a seed phrase, can use those 24 words to access the account.
Track portfolio performance
Profit and loss tracking is now live across the Uniswap Web App, Wallet, and Extension. Users can see realized and unrealized P&L for every token, both at the wallet level and per asset.
P&L tracking includes:
View tokens across chains in one place
Tokens held on multiple networks now group into a single row, making portfolios easier to understand across chains. ETH, USDC, or any other token held on multiple networks now appears as one combined balance.
The same grouping applies in Explore, Token Detail Pages, and Search. Users can select any token to see per-network balances alongside volume and price data, making it easier to understand an asset across chains instead of viewing each network in isolation.
Swap across chains in one action
Sometimes the token a user has is on one network, and the token they want is on another. Historically, that meant bridging first, waiting for funds to arrive, and then swapping separately. With crosschain swaps, users can swap supported tokens across networks in a single action. Uniswap apps handle the crosschain route automatically, using Across for bridging and Uniswap routing.
Crosschain swaps are supported on Ethereum, Unichain, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism, World Chain, zkSync, Zora, Linea, Soneium, and MegaETH.
Get started with zero interface fees
The updates are live today across Uniswap apps. Users can use the Uniswap Web App to create an account in seconds, swap across chains, view their portfolio, or check their P&L.
Uniswap products also charge zero interface fees on swaps.
