All ready for The Grand Prix Startup: the first Italian-French event for startups

Six finalists selected, the award ceremony takes place on 2 December at Borsa Italiana.

An interdisciplinary event to generate new ideas and which will see the awarding of a competition for the most sustainable and innovative emerging startups of the Chambre ecosystem. This is the Grand Prix Startup, organized by the CCI France Italie which will take place on December 2nd at Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of Borsa Italiana.

Successful startups, scaleups, unicorns, venture capitalists, incubators, tech hubs and influencers are expected to partecipate. The first six startups selected for the award were: Aquaseek – presented by Fondazione Michelin Sviluppo; BonusX – presented by the Municipality of Milan; Eficia – presented by Mersen; Evogy – presented by Leyton; Néolithe – presented by BPIFrance; Up2You – presented by Gruppo Lactalis in Italy, will take part in the second phase, which will consist of an elevator pitch on the occasion of the awards ceremony on 2 December 2022, at the end of which the final ranking of the 3 winning Startup/Corporate Couples will be announced. Also the public will have an active role and will be able to vote live for their favorite project among those who have not been selected for the podium, thus decreeing the "Special Audience Award".

The event will involve personalities and leading exponents of the economic, institutional and political world, with the presence of the French Ambassador in Italy, Christian Masset, who has always been very attentive to the theme of innovation. The event obtained the patronage of the Municipality of Milan and InnovUp as well as the collaboration of PoliHub. Among the expected guests, confirmed the presence of Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of the Municipality of Milan, Alessia Cappello, Councillor for Economic Development and Labor Policies, Layla Pavone, head of the board for technological innovation and digital transformation of the Municipality of Milan. Enrico Deluchi, CEO of PoliHub and Paul Renda, vice president with responsibility for Assolombarda, will also be present.

The Grand Prix Startup jury

B4i - Bocconi For Innovation will be present at the evening as part of the jury with the task of determining the winning Start-Ups. Jury is composed of The Adecco Group, some of the companies of the CSR Club of the Chambre including Carrefour Italia, Mazars, and Studio Pirola Pennuto Zei e Associati, Nico Valenti Gatto, Operating Director of Bocconi 4 Innovation and is chaired by Cécile Bourland, CEO of CCI France Italie – Chamber of Commerce.

The other Startups entered in the competition are: 3Bee and Finapp registered by Crédit Agricole, AWorld registered by Capgemini, Phenix registered by Coface, Svelto!, registered by Edison,Hacking Talents registered by Groupama Assicurazioni, BePooler registered by Gruppo Lactalis in Italy, Genuine Way registered by Leyton, TemLab registered by Mazars, Coocooners, Krill Design presented by CCI France Italie and Agrobit, FindMyLost, Resilia Service, Userbot, Anomaleet, Levante and BEAWaRe presented bythe Municipality of Milan.

The role of CCI France-Italie

CCI France Italie, the Chambre, is a private institution under Italian law based in Milan, belonging to the network of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad (CCI France International). It is the first Franco-Italian business network, with more than 360 French and Italian companies participating. Founded in Milan in 1885, it is also the oldest foreign chamber of commerce in Italy. The President-in-Office is Denis Delespaul. The mission of the Chambre is to foster and contribute to the development and consolidation of economic and commercial relations between France and Italy by offering opportunities for meeting and relations for the Franco-Italian business community. In this perspective, the Chambre collaborates with the French and Italian Ministries, with the Diplomatic Representatives, as well as other Chambers of Commerce and trade associations in France and Italy and, in general, with the public and private authorities of the two countries, to promote the development of exchanges between France and Italy.
