Veteran Marine and Managed Services Executive to Lead Continued U.S. Expansion of Integrated Physical, Digital and Cyber Protection

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla.: #cybersecurity--Prosegur Cybersecurity, the North American cybersecurity division of Prosegur, today announced that William “Bill” Phillips has been named president of its North American operations. Phillips assumed the role in June 2026 and is charged with leading the division’s U.S. growth strategy.

Phillips brings more than 25 years of technology and security leadership to the role. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was first introduced to information technology during his seven years of service. He went on to support infrastructure for Marine Corps Combat Operations Centers at General Dynamics, then led global network, telecom and IT M&A strategy at Matthews International. Most recently, Phillips spent nearly seven years at Vector Security, where he led the company’s Managed Services business specializing in network and cybersecurity, serving top retail clients and other verticals.

Phillips leads a division that rebranded from Cipher to Prosegur Cybersecurity earlier this year, formalizing its alignment with parent company Prosegur, which generates approximately $6 billion in annual revenue and operates in more than 30 countries. Cipher’s regional operations outside North America are not affected by the change.

Under Phillips, the division continues to operate with a fully U.S.-based team, including its Security Operations Center, offering Managed Detection and Response, Managed Security Services, Red Team Services, and Governance, Risk and Compliance support. Its capabilities include monitoring more than one billion security events daily, managing hundreds of thousands of security assets, and protecting more than two million users worldwide.

Phillips’ appointment comes during Prosegur’s 50th anniversary year.
