Recognition highlights CheckAlt’s role in helping financial institutions modernize receivables and strengthen commercial client relationships

NEW YORK: #CreditUnion--CheckAlt, a provider of integrated receivables and payment processing solutions, has been named to the 2026 Datos Insights Fintech 50 for the second consecutive year. The report profiles 50 financial services technology vendors aligned with Datos Insights’ Commercial Banking & Payments Top Trends of 2026.

CheckAlt was recognized for its Integrated Receivables solution, which brings lockbox, electronic lockbox, online payments, remote deposit capture, and other receivables capabilities together through a single, secure cloud-based platform. The solution helps financial institutions manage incoming payments across paper and digital channels, provide greater visibility into payment activity, and support connectivity with existing systems.

“Commercial clients increasingly expect more visibility and control from their financial institutions, even as many banks and credit unions continue to rely on legacy cash management systems,” said Benjamin Nestor, Strategic Advisor with Datos Insights’ Commercial Banking & Payments practice. “CheckAlt’s inclusion reflects the growing role of providers that extend modern receivables capabilities around existing infrastructure-one way financial institutions can address evolving client needs without waiting for wholesale system replacement.”

The recognition comes as financial institutions face growing pressure to modernize commercial banking and payments capabilities. Datos Insights reports that 86% of large and midsize U.S. organizations already work with a fintech provider for payments or cash management services, highlighting the opportunity for financial institutions to strengthen the capabilities available to their commercial clients.

“Financial institutions shouldn’t have to choose between supporting the payment channels their clients rely on today and modernizing for what comes next,” said J. Patrick Law, President and CEO of CheckAlt. “That’s the balance we help them strike. Being named to the Datos Insights Fintech 50 for the second consecutive year reinforces the importance of that work-helping banks and credit unions strengthen commercial relationships and build for long-term growth.”
