MIAMI: HoneyQuote, an AI-enabled insurance brokerage building the infrastructure for coastal insurance distribution, has partnered with private equity firm, Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), to accelerate its expansion across Florida and other vulnerable coastal markets. The transaction includes a significant equity commitment from GCP to support acquisitions and continued investment in HoneyQuote’s proprietary technology platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The partnership comes as the insurance industry works to modernize amid rapid advances in AI, evolving consumer expectations, and continued consolidation among legacy agencies. However, coastal personal insurance remains one of the least modernized and most operationally complex segments of the market. Against this backdrop, HoneyQuote operates at the center of the coastal personal insurance ecosystem, connecting homeowners, carriers, agents, and distribution partners through a single integrated system, with a focus on markets where carrier volatility, rising catastrophe risk, and regulatory complexity have created structural inefficiencies.
In these coastal markets, regional carriers dominate supply, but fragmented legacy systems across the ecosystem constrain distribution, limit market access, and ultimately increase costs for consumers. HoneyQuote addresses these challenges through its technology platform, which powers quoting, binding, and servicing workflows across 30+ regional carriers. This enables independent agents, enterprise partners, and real estate channels to access markets through a unified system, while also generating valuable data insights that are fed back to carriers.
“Coastal homeowners insurance is among the most structurally constrained segments in the industry,” said Freddy Seikaly, CEO of HoneyQuote. “Carriers lack efficient distribution, agents lack market access and modern technology, and customers are left with a poor experience as a result. HoneyQuote’s platform bridges these gaps, delivering better outcomes for all stakeholders, and our partnership with GCP allows us to scale that vision significantly faster.”
Since partnering with GCP, HoneyQuote has begun executing a consolidation strategy aimed at bringing smaller, fragmented agencies onto its platform. The company has completed fifteen strategic acquisitions in recent months, with additional opportunities in progress. HoneyQuote’s leadership team has also made significant co-investments alongside GCP, reinforcing alignment and long-term conviction in the company’s growth strategy.
Unlike traditional agencies, HoneyQuote owns its core technology stack and embeds agentic workflows across sales and servicing, enabling significantly higher productivity and a superior customer experience. The company also generates revenue beyond traditional commissions through software solutions provided to carriers and agents across its platform.
“HoneyQuote has built a differentiated platform in a highly complex and underserved market,” said James Nally, Managing Director at Growth Catalyst Partners. “We see a clear opportunity to combine technology, acquisitions, and embedded distribution to create a scaled leader in coastal personal lines. The team has demonstrated strong execution, and we’re excited to support their next phase of growth.”
HoneyQuote plans to use GCP’s investment to expand through acquisitions and continue advancing its technology and automation capabilities, with a focus on AI-driven gains in sales and servicing efficiency.
Founded in 2019, HoneyQuote has grown rapidly through a combination of direct-to-consumer channels and embedded partnerships. As coastal insurance markets continue to evolve, the company is building the modern infrastructure layer designed to improve connectivity, efficiency, and distribution across the ecosystem.
