Acquisition expands Equal Parts’ transportation insurance expertise and presence in Texas, serving trucking companies, commercial fleets, and logistics businesses.
AUSTIN, Texas: Equal Parts, the insurance platform redefining how independent agencies grow and scale, today announced the acquisition of ProSource Insurance Agency, a Plano, Texas-based brokerage specializing in transportation insurance.
Completed during the first quarter of 2026, the acquisition strengthens Equal Parts’ transportation insurance capabilities and expands its presence in one of the nation’s largest freight markets.
Founded in 2003 by President Paul Nhem, ProSource serves trucking companies, owner-operators, commercial fleets, and transportation businesses throughout Texas and across the United States. Nhem began his insurance career in 1990 and held roles with State Farm, The Hartford, Fireman’s Fund, and CNA Insurance before founding ProSource.
“Transportation requires specialized expertise earned through years of serving the industry,” said Mike Witte, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Equal Parts. “Paul and the ProSource team have built an exceptional agency around that principle. We’re excited to provide the technology, operational support, market access, and capital to help them continue growing while remaining focused on their clients.”
As part of Equal Parts, ProSource will continue operating under Nhem’s leadership while gaining access to proprietary technology, centralized operations, expanded carrier relationships, shared services, and acquisition resources.
“What Paul has built reflects exactly what we look for in a partner,” said Mike Meller, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Equal Parts. “His team combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to client relationships. Our platform is designed to help great operators spend more time serving customers and growing their businesses, and less time managing operational complexity.”
Equal Parts partners with founder-led agencies while preserving their leadership, local relationships, brands, and specialized expertise. The addition of ProSource expands the company’s growing network of specialized independent insurance agencies.
