Entra® Intelligence launch anchors live demonstrations showing how operators can accelerate 50G-PON migration, advance DOCSIS® 4.0 deployments, simplify cable and fiber operations

VICTORIA, British Columbia: Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX: VCM) today announced it will showcase a broad next-generation access portfolio at SCTE TechExpo 2026, taking place September 29 – October 1 in Atlanta, Georgia. Led by the launch of Entra® Intelligence, Vecima’s new AI-powered operational awareness platform for cable and fiber access networks, the showcase will feature live demonstrations spanning 50G-PON migration, DOCSIS® 4.0 deployments, simplified network operations, and new broadband and video service opportunities.

The demonstrations are designed to show practical ways operators can evolve cable and fiber networks for higher capacity, greater automation, and more flexible service delivery. Across 50G-PON migration, DOCSIS 4.0 readiness, unified PON management, network test automation, and IP video operations and monetization, Vecima will focus on how operators can move next-generation access from planning into scalable deployment.

Leading the evolution to 50G-PON

Vecima’s fiber access demonstrations will focus on a key operator challenge: increasing PON capacity while preserving existing network investments. At TechExpo, Vecima will demonstrate live multi-PON migration, running 10G-EPON and 50G ITU PON simultaneously on the same optical line terminal (OLT) port and optical distribution network (ODN), showing how operators can move toward 50G-PON without replacing the fiber infrastructure they have already built.

This next-generation capability is designed to help operators modernize networks with low risk, investment protection, and operational flexibility. Vecima’s approach lets operators manage 10G-PON, XGS-PON, GPON, Combo PON, and 50G-PON through a single operational framework, supported by the Company’s Open Network Ecosystem (ONE™) and broad third-party ONU/ONT interoperability, so the move to multi-gigabit fiber does not require vendor lock-in.

Introducing Entra Intelligence

As operators advance both 50G-PON and DOCSIS 4.0, the next challenge isn't only building higher-capacity networks, but operating them more intelligently.
