CHICAGO: LogicMonitor®, the AI-first platform for Autonomous IT, today announced a new operating model for IT that moves enterprises beyond the alert loop. Built on LogicMonitor Envision and Edwin AI, with digital experience and internet performance insights from Catchpoint, this architecture helps teams see more of their environment, understand what matters and take governed action. Introduced at Elevate 2026, the company’s annual community conference, the approach is grounded in a simple premise: an alert is only useful when it leads to deeper understanding and better outcomes.

The announcement rolls out new operating capabilities across five essential areas of its Autonomous IT platform, helping enterprises move from seeing problems to solving them:

  • Enterprise Data Foundation: More complete, open telemetry across metrics, logs and cost signals, giving teams and AI the evidence they need to reason across the enterprise.
  • Unified Context: Connections among infrastructure, applications, services, dependencies, users and digital experience, helping teams understand what matters, why it matters and who is affected.
  • AI for Governed Action: Edwin AI investigations, domain-specific agents and workflows that turn operational context into root-cause insight and recommended next steps.
  • Experience: A headless experience that brings Edwin AI into the tools where teams already work, rather than requiring them to move to another destination console.
  • Action, Trust and Governance: Identity, permissions, policies, approvals, auditability and guardrails that help organizations expand automation safely as confidence builds.

Together, they help enterprises move from observing isolated systems to operating connected services. Complete data gives teams deeper context, context improves AI reasoning, Experience brings intelligence into the flow of work and Action, Trust and Governance turn insight into accountable operational value.

The proof is already in the numbers. LogicMonitor’s largest customer win to date involved a U.S. federal agency whose business case projects a 182% return on investment over three years, more than 170,000 hours of annual productivity gains, a 70% reduction in downtime impact and a nine-month payback period.

“Autonomous IT is not a switch customers flip overnight. It’s a progression from trusted visibility, to better decisions, to governed action,” said Prabhu Nakkeeran, chief technology officer, LogicMonitor. “Our AI-first platform gives teams the data and context they need to move forward at their own pace, while keeping people firmly in charge of policies, approvals, and operational risk.”

Give AI the Complete Picture

AI cannot make a useful decision from a thin slice of the environment. LogicMonitor is strengthening the enterprise data foundation beneath Edwin AI with enhanced support for open standards such as OpenTelemetry, broader application logs, cost signals and partition-level access controls. The result is telemetry that AI can reason over, not simply retrieve.

“AI is most valuable in IT operations when it helps teams understand what matters and take the next step with confidence,” said Karthik Sj, chief AI officer, LogicMonitor. “Edwin AI combines investigation with specialized expertise for network, infrastructure and the IT workflows that keep the business moving. It brings that expertise into the tools teams already use while keeping people in control of what AI can see, recommend and do. As trust builds, teams can hand more of the work to AI.”

Connect the Signal to Impact

Data becomes operationally useful when it is tied to the systems, services and users it affects. LogicMonitor’s unified context connects topology, dependencies, business impact and measured digital experience to support service-centric operations, helping teams distinguish technical noise from the issues that matter to the business.

From Insight to Action

Edwin AI brings investigation, domain-specific expertise and governed workflows into the tools where IT work already happens, including LogicMonitor, Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, command-line interfaces and other approved environments.

LogicMonitor MCP for Edwin AI gives compatible AI clients a unified, read-only way to access LogicMonitor monitoring context and Edwin AI intelligence. Authentication and permissions control access, while governance controls help teams expand their use of AI as confidence builds.

Monitoring and observability platforms have always aimed to help teams see more of their environment, but visibility is only the starting point. LogicMonitor connects the data, context, AI, experience and governance required to move from sensing to understanding, deciding and acting within defined operational boundaries. That shift from visibility to operational understanding is already producing measurable value for customers.

“Agentic operations is the engineering response to the growing complexity inherent in networked digital estates,” said Shannon Kalvar, IDC senior research director for AIOps. “Moving from visibility to more autonomous operations requires systems that can gather context and make bounded decisions at machine speed, while humans define the desired future state, establish governance and ensure the environment operates as intended.”

Putting Autonomous IT into Practice

Edwin AI is the operating front door for IT operations, giving teams a place to investigate issues, connect technical signals to business impact, prioritize what matters and take governed action. As teams build confidence, they can move from guided investigation to governed remediation and progressively more autonomous operations, with people in control.
