Wearable AI device recognized in the Consumer Electronics category on TIME’s annual list of groundbreaking innovations
SAN FRANCISCO: Plaud, the company building AI work companions for the way people think, meet and work, today announced that Plaud NotePin S has been named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 in the Consumer Electronics category.
Each year, TIME recognizes 300 groundbreaking inventions that are making the world “better, smarter, and even a bit more fun.” NotePin S joins this year’s list as a wearable AI device designed to help people stay present in conversations while capturing and transforming what matters into useful, actionable intelligence.
“Being recognized by TIME is an incredible milestone for Plaud and, more importantly, validation of the idea behind NotePin S: technology should help us engage more deeply with the world around us, not pull us away from it,” said Nathan Xu, CEO and Co-founder of Plaud. “We believe some of our most valuable information still lives in conversation. Our goal is to make that intelligence accessible and useful, while giving people the freedom to stay focused on the moment itself.”
Designed to be worn throughout the day, Plaud NotePin S gives users a simple way to capture conversations and spoken thoughts, then uses AI to structure that information into notes, summaries, insights and next steps. Its compact, wearable form is built around a core Plaud philosophy: the best technology should recede into the background so people can focus on the people and ideas in front of them.
The recognition marks another milestone for Plaud as the company continues to expand its vision beyond AI note-taking toward a broader AI work companion that captures, structures and helps people build on the intelligence generated through everyday conversations.
