BOSTON: Trexon, a leading provider of specialized interconnectivity solutions, announced the sale of its Industrial Products Group (IPG) to Amphenol Corporation. The divestiture encompasses the brand portfolios of TPC Wire & Cable, Pittsburgh Wire and Cable, and MilRail.

The sale of the industrial products division was completed late last year. The remaining business operations, comprising Trexon’s Engineered Products Group (EPG), will now operate solely as Trexon.

“We wish our former colleagues at IPG well and expect that the Industrial Products Group will continue its journey of profitable growth as part of the Amphenol family,” noted Mark Twaalfhoven, President and CEO of Trexon.

Leveraging collective market expertise in Aerospace/Defense, Medical, Quantum Computing/AI, Semiconductor and Space markets, Trexon is a market leader designer and manufacturer of specialty connectivity products that enhance performance and maximize uptime for customers. Within the Trexon portfolio of specialty connectivity brands are: Cicoil, EZ Form Cable, The First Electronics Corporation (FEC), Hydro Group, Integrated Cable Systems (ICS), Intelliconnect, and Power Connector. More recently, Trexon acquired 603 Manufacturing, C.E. Precision Assemblies, and Qualastat Electronics, and will continue to invest in organic and inorganic growth.

“I’m very excited to welcome TPC Wire & Cable [FKA: Trexon’s Industrial Products Group or IPG] to the Amphenol family. TPC’s unique capabilities extend Amphenol’s harsh environment interconnect capabilities by adding highly engineered raw cable and value-add cable assemblies for the high technology and harsh environment industrial markets. Collectively, Amphenol and TPC provide a broader solution offering to our customers in these markets. We’re especially excited that the entire executive team of TPC will remain with the company and will continue to deliver tremendous value to their customers under the TPC brand, while also extending their reach through this new relationship with Amphenol,” said Luc Walter, President of Amphenol’s Harsh Environment Solutions Division.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
