SEATTLE: ExtraHop®, a leader in cloud-native network detection and response (NDR), today announced it has been recognized by Gartner in the Market Share: Overall Enterprise Network Equipment Market, Worldwide, 4Q23 and 20231, maintaining the second largest share of market revenue in the NDR category for the 2023 fiscal year.
As bad actors find new ways to circumvent traditional perimeter defenses like SIEM, endpoints, and logs, enterprises are increasingly realizing the power of the network. According to the 2024 Gartner Market Guide for Network Detection and Response, in which ExtraHop was named a representative vendor for the fourth time, “NDR global market revenue continues to grow double digit, registering an increase of 19% for the period 1Q23 through 3Q23, year over year.”2
“Cyber risk is inevitable and it’s clear that NDR is rapidly becoming the solution that organizations can rely on to help manage it,” said Raja Mukerji, co-founder and Chief Scientist, ExtraHop. “Our unique approach to network visibility, backed by patented AI and machine learning models, advantageous integrations, and one-of-a-kind decryption capabilities, takes our technology to the next level. We believe the latest Gartner report reaffirms our position as a market leader and remain committed to building innovative solutions customers can trust.”
Over the last year, ExtraHop has placed a significant emphasis on expanding key partnerships and developing integrations for extended detection and response (XDR) implementations in response to its 2023 report that found 78% of organizations believe XDR is critical to mitigating risk and improving resiliency.
According to the 2024 Gartner Market Guide for Network Detection and Response, “Most XDR vendors have weak capabilities for native network analysis, leading to an increasing number of integrations with current NDR vendors.”
Addressing this market opportunity, ExtraHop announced several integrations with long-term partner CrowdStrike to give joint customers a unified cybersecurity platform, forming the foundation for XDR. Highlights of the partnership include:
