SANTA BARBARA, Calif.: QAD Inc., a leading provider of next-generation manufacturing and supply chain solutions in the cloud, announced that Joyson Safety Systems, a global leader in mobility safety, has upgraded its QAD SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) solution and migrated from on-premise to the QAD Cloud.

The move to the cloud, supported and facilitated by QAD Professional Services, allows the provider of safety-critical components, systems and technology to take advantage of the latest enhancements to QAD SRM and continue to improve its strategic sourcing and supplier management capabilities.

“We have had very good cooperation with QAD in the past and the team knows our requirements very well,” said Susanne Becker, specialist of EMEA IMS purchasing for Joyson Safety Systems. With the move to the cloud, Becker expects Joyson to “improve certain processes with the new functionalities that QAD SRM can provide.”

QAD SRM, formerly Allocation Network, is an integral building block to strengthen supply chain agility and resilience to withstand challenges and disruptions. With the waves of challenges undermining supply chain efficiency across all industries, businesses need improved supplier collaboration, optimal sourcing and quicker ways to respond to shifts in supply and demand.

QAD SRM delivers the tools to improve real-time communication and procurement processes and to counteract supply risks. Instead of relying on spreadsheets, manufacturers gain the means to seamlessly share critical information and boost mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.

“In the dynamic global environment, having an agile and flexible supply chain is more crucial than ever,” said Roy Arguelles, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Sales at QAD. “Transitioning to the cloud enables Joyson to be more agile and flexible, which is essential to mastering the unpredictability of global supply chains. Cloud-based QAD SRM helps Joyson manage supplier performance, procurement processes, and reduce costs while ensuring compliance.”

“The Joyson Safety Systems go live demonstrates the commitment from QAD Professional Services to optimize the people, process and systems of our customers with support from a rich ecosystem of certified professionals,” commented David Couchon, Senior Vice President of QAD Professional Services. “The project serves as a great example of how a customer can successfully deploy their solution in the QAD Cloud with industry expertise from QAD Professional Services.”
