Outperforming sales executive from Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, and Symantec set to drive Torq hypergrowth and geographic expansion across 2024-2025

NEW YORK: Torq, the AI-first security hyperautomation leader, today announced the appointment of Josh Morris as Chief Revenue Officer. Previously, Morris served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Torq, resulting in the company achieving record-breaking 300% revenue and 500% customer growth across 2023. In his new role as CRO, Morris is now a critical force in scaling Torq as it expands and maximizes pipeline, pursues geographic expansion, increases its channel and partner footprints, and enters new vertical markets.

Morris is a highly-experienced executive with 25 years of sales leadership in global companies across all aspects of cybersecurity. In his previous role at Torq, he transformed the company’s sales trajectory and helped position Torq as the market leader in security hyperautomation.

Prior to joining Torq, Morris established a revered track record across public companies and early-stage ventures. Morris was previously Group Vice President at Splunk and has held sales leadership positions at Palo Alto Networks, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence via Silversky acquisition, and Symantec via MessageLabs acquisition.

“It’s an incredible thrill to be part of a company that’s rewriting the rules of cybersecurity with the Torq Hyperautomation platform,” said Morris. “It has been phenomenal to see the value we’re delivering to SecOps teams across the world. We’re making them more productive and efficient, and unburdening them from all the hassle of legacy SOAR, including alert fatigue and drowning in false positives. CISOS, directors of cybersecurity, and professionals on the front lines of SecOps have made their voices heard. They’re demanding a new AI-driven approach to auto-investigate threat severity, and commence optimal escalation and strategic resolution at machine speed. That’s exactly what Torq delivers and it’s why we’re crushing the competition.”

Current Torq customers include Blackstone, Carvana, Chipotle, Deepwatch, Fiverr, HashiCorp, IronSource, Lemonade, Nubank, Riskified, Rivian, Telefonica, and ZoomInfo, as well as Fortune 100 consumer packaged goods, fashion, financial, hospitality, and sports apparel companies. Cybersecurity giants also rely on Torq to hyperautomate their own SecOps infrastructures, including Abnormal Security, Armis, BigID, Check Point, Juniper Networks, SentinelOne, and Wiz.

“Appointing Josh as CRO comes at a pivotal moment for Torq with our market traction and momentum approaching critical mass,” said Ofer Smadari, CEO, Torq. “Josh’s proven success, extensive cybersecurity background, enterprise credentials, and superb team building and motivational presence will enable Torq to continue building out its world-class sales team, achieve even deeper multinational penetration, and hit our aggressive growth targets.”
