TOKYO: Leaseweb Global, a leading cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, today announced the appointment of John Duley as its Managing Director, Japan. With over 35 years of experience and an outstanding track record of leading Japanese corporations across the IT industry, he will be responsible for driving Leaseweb's expansion in the local market and strengthening its presence as a leading global cloud and hosting provider.

Prior to joining Leaseweb, Duley spent more than 15 years as Co-Founder and Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at Advantage 24, a pioneer of proprietary infrastructure, software and Multi-Cloud Interconnect products. He has also held executive leadership roles with leading technology organizations in Japan, including WithSecure, Acquisio and Tealium. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Japanese from Willamette University.

In his new role, Duley will lead Leaseweb’s domestic growth, sales and channel strategy in Japan. This will include building its local partnership network, working closely with leading systems integrators to strengthen the company’s reach and enhance local engagement. In addition, he will focus on building Leaseweb’s support services to deliver the company’s cloud, dedicated server and managed hosting solutions to Japanese businesses.

“I am delighted to be joining Leaseweb to lead the business in Japan at such an exciting time in its journey,” commented John Duley, Managing Director of Leaseweb Japan. “The company has built an exceptional reputation for delivering cloud services based on a customer-centric approach, and we are ideally positioned to meet the evolving needs of businesses across Japan. I look forward to building strong relationships with our customers and partners.”

“Leaseweb has experienced tremendous growth in the APAC region over the last two years, tripling our revenue and onboarding many new customers in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia,” said Pieter Kraan, Managing Director of Leaseweb Singapore. “I am confident that under JD’s leadership, Leaseweb Japan will continue its upward trajectory and help more businesses capitalize on the enormous opportunity in the Japanese market.”
