TORONTO: 1Password, a leader in identity security, today announced significant business growth and product innovation driven by tremendous demand for 1Password Extended Access Management (XAM), a solution that, for the first time, enables businesses to secure every sign-in to every application from every device. 1Password continues to deliver value to customers of all sizes, and the number of customers spending in excess of $100k annually with 1Password grew over 50% year-over-year as of the end of the second quarter in 2024. 1Password is introducing new capabilities that will enable even more organizations to secure their workforce, including integrations with Microsoft Entra and Google Workspace, updates to managing and detecting shadow IT, and simplified login management.
Asana, BetterUp, Hugging Face, Jobber, and Octopus Energy are realizing the benefits of 1Password Extended Access Management. Microsoft Entra and Google Workspace customers can now purchase 1Password Extended Access Management to ensure that all managed and unmanaged devices are known and secure before granting access to company resources. With over 150,000 organizations already relying on 1Password, the addition of new Device Trust integrations will empower hundreds of thousands more businesses to enhance workforce productivity while bolstering security.
“We are witnessing massive demand for 1Password Extended Access Management as businesses look to secure their modern workforce,” said Jeff Shiner, CEO of 1Password. “We accelerated our product roadmap in response and are thrilled to share our new integrations with Microsoft Entra and Google Workspace, which will provide significant benefits for our customers, as well as propel our enterprise growth.”
1Password Deepens Strategic Partnership with Microsoft
The Microsoft Entra integration with 1Password Extended Access Management allows 1Password and Microsoft customers to secure devices by monitoring device health in real time to identify and remediate device compliance issues before permitting access, even for bring-your-own devices and contractors. Additionally, 1Password’s integration with Microsoft Sentinel enables customers to seamlessly monitor access and activity events with data and credentials stored within 1Password Extended Access Management and 1Password Enterprise Password Manager.
Accelerated Cybersecurity Innovation to Address the Access-Trust Gap
1Password experienced unprecedented customer demand for 1Password Extended Access Management following its debut in May 2024, when it pioneered a new security category that extends the capabilities of identity and access management (IAM) and mobile device management (MDM) to unmanaged apps and devices. As a result, 1Password accelerated its product development to deliver highly anticipated and requested capabilities to secure both managed and unmanaged apps and devices. With these advancements, security and IT teams are able to ensure compliance, gain detailed insights into user activities and device health, and facilitate user lifecycle management. Key 1Password Extended Access Management advancements include:
"Organizations increasingly face identity challenges associated with user trust due to the growing diversity within their network environments. Access is critical as nothing's possible without it, leading to overly permissible sign-ins from unregistered and untrusted devices and the existence of undiscovered and unmanaged applications. The solution requires a modern and extensible capability to ensure every sign-in is verified, helping close these critical gaps," said Jay Bretzmann, Research Vice President, Security Products, IDC.
