Koepf brings 25 years of experience leading teams that build best-in-class infrastructure at companies like Amazon, Expedia, and Ticketmaster

SAN FRANCISCO: LILT, the leading AI-powered translation and content generation platform, bolsters its executive leadership team with the hire of Werner Koepf as Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). Koepf brings over 25 years of product leadership experience at high-growth private and public companies, including senior leadership positions at Karat, Ticketmaster, Expedia, and Amazon.

At LILT, Koepf will channel his expertise to spearhead the expansion of AI architectures and platforms that drive further innovation and efficiency across the company’s applications. Building upon a robust platform of state-of-the-art natural language processing and world-class professional translators, he’ll ensure that LILT’s customers continue to access technology that unlocks faster go-to-market strategies and competitive global customer experiences. Koepf will report directly to the CEO and co-founder, Spence Green, in this new role, driving product development and strategy execution.

“Werner is an exceptional leader,” said Green. “Under his direction, we are well-positioned to continue building the AI-powered apps and services that will help bring LILT's industry-leading services to more and more global organizations.”

Throughout his career, Koepf has held leadership roles overseeing engineering programs that helped global companies achieve industry excellence. These include tenures at Amazon, where he oversaw teams responsible for multiple features on Amazon.com, and at Ticketmaster, where he developed the order processing engine behind Ticketmaster's entrance into the resale market. He’s a versatile executive who is as adept at technical concepts and business performance as he is at team-building.

“I've followed LILT's journey for several years now and was impressed by its ability to continue penetrating hard-to-crack enterprise customers. LILT has both the technology and the culture necessary to create a generational company,” said Koepf. “The energy, intelligence, and intensity I’ve witnessed from my new colleagues have me invigorated to help write the company’s next chapter."

The news follows a series of considerable milestones for LILT. The company now offers custom LLM models for over 100 languages and integrations with 60 business systems for unparalleled ease of deployment. It also announced new features like tools that help businesses manage AI usage and costs more effectively and the ability to automatically caption, translate, and dub videos in one step, enabling LILT to process content that is controlled, has higher sensitivity, and is mission-critical.
