TORONTO: Messagepoint announced today it has been named a winner for the third consecutive year of a Business Intelligence Group’s Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award, in the generative AI subcategory. The Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards celebrate the most innovative companies, technologies and professionals who are leading the way in AI innovation by identifying and recognizing truly unique solutions that stand out in a crowded AI space. Messagepoint won for the capabilities of its AI-powered Translation Accuracy, the first AI translation accuracy checking solution in the customer communications management (CCM) market. It is designed to improve accuracy while accelerating translation processes for communications mandated in some sectors, such as in areas of health and human services, health insurance and financial services.

Messagepoint is a pioneer in AI in the CCM space, being the first to market with numerous AI-based solutions for content analysis, migration, optimization and translation. While Messagepoint’s first release of AI translation capabilities in 2023 helped streamline the creation of base translations, the company recognized that businesses were still spending hundreds, even thousands, of hours reviewing and approving those translations. The introduction of AI-powered Translation Accuracy in 2024 aimed to alleviate this burden by eliminating the need for a comprehensive review of each document, enabling teams to focus solely on correcting errors identified by AI. Messagepoint’s AI translation, combined with AI-powered accuracy checks, results in a process proven to be 20 times faster than a human-only translation approach.

"The AI industry is evolving rapidly and it is through the efforts of companies like Messagepoint that we see real-world applications driving change," said Russ Fordyce, CEO of the Business Intelligence Group. "Their work exemplifies the kind of innovation and leadership that is shaping the future of artificial intelligence."

In highly regulated industries, checking that translations are accurate and compliant is an essential part of the process. This typically involves slow, manual line-by-line review of each communication by humans. To validate the accuracy of AI-powered translation, Messagepoint’s accuracy checks apply a structured, multi-layered approach that combines best-in-class large language models (LLM), internally developed algorithms and carefully engineered prompts specifically designed for accuracy assessment. The solution validates not just semantic meaning, but also structure, formatting and variable content which are critical elements in complex customer communications where visual layout and data-driven content must remain intact across languages.

Additionally, organizations can validate translation accuracy at scale across entire content libraries. A dashboard helps reviewers quickly see which communications have accuracy issues, provides details on the nature of those issues and enables teams to focus their human efforts where they’re needed most. Also, built-in workflow management tracks what needs to be translated, what has been completed, by whom (AI or human) and when, providing teams with full visibility and control over translation.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from the Business Intelligence Group for our AI-powered Translation Accuracy solution. It is already transforming how organizations in highly regulated industries approach high-volume document translation by enabling them to move faster, reduce risk and deliver better customer experiences,” said Atif Khan, chief AI officer at Messagepoint. “This recognition also highlights how Messagepoint is leading the way in AI innovation by continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in the customer communications industry.”
