SAN DIEGO: UBILITE, a leader in ultra-low power wireless connectivity, today announced the appointment of George Holmes as its new CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Holmes brings more than 40 years of executive leadership experience, most recently serving as Chairman and CEO of Resonant Inc. (Nasdaq: RESN). Under his leadership, Resonant grew from a startup to a greater than $300 million dollar acquisition by Murata in 2022. Throughout his career, Holmes has built and scaled multiple technology companies, generating over $3.5 billion in shareholder value through strategic partnerships, operational turnarounds, and M&A.
He currently serves on the boards of Luventix and Vetabolics. Holmes holds a BA in Business from the University of Puget Sound and a diploma in International Business from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands.
“I’m excited to join UBILITE,” said Holmes. “The company’s wireless architecture is purpose-built for AI-powered edge devices. UBILITE solves the core challenge of enabling high data throughput without compromising battery life—something that’s only possible through years of innovation in ultra-low power design.”
UBILITE also announced that Dr. Peter Gammel will take on the role of President and Chief Operating Officer. Gammel was previously Vice President and CTO of the Mobile and Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit at GlobalFoundries, and before that, CTO at Skyworks Solutions, Inc.
“Peter’s deep technical expertise and four decades of experience in the semiconductor and wireless industries are invaluable,” said Holmes. “I’m thrilled we can continue working together as we execute UBILITE’s technology roadmap.”
