Company builds on strong DLP foundation to address data security, data threats and privacy regulations
SAN JOSE, Calif.: Skyhigh Security, a global leader in Security Service Edge (SSE) and data security, today announced the integration of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) capabilities into its data-centric SSE platform. This new foundational capability builds on the company’s robust data classification and protection platform service—to provide organizations with deeper visibility into sensitive data and streamlined compliance management.
Enterprises are managing more data than ever before, but they’re also facing an expanding array of threats—requiring a level of visibility and control that can be difficult and operationally complex for security and IT teams to achieve by integrating standalone DSPM, DLP, and SSE tools alone. This challenge is made even more difficult due to the proliferation of shadow data, cloud vulnerabilities, and strict privacy regulations.
Skyhigh Security's approach embeds DSPM within its existing SSE framework, leveraging unified data classifications and real-time policy enforcement to provide visibility into where data resides within cloud environments—including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, and its usage across web, cloud, email, private applications, collaboration platforms and endpoints. This integrated capability enables organizations to identify and manage sensitive data more effectively, reduce false positives, and maintain compliance with evolving regulations. Additionally, Skyhigh DSPM offers controls for GenAI apps, such as blocking risky applications, preventing uploads or specific activities for GenAI apps, and applying DLP controls which ultimately prevent sanctioned GenAI apps from ingesting sensitive data for training.
“As an established leader in data security with a strong pulse on industry trends, we recognized a need to address this data visibility and control problem, but without adding to the operational burden of SecOps teams,” said Thyaga Vasudevan, EVP of Product. “By leveraging the strength of our AI-enhanced SSE platform, our customers immediately leverage benefits like ML-based UEBA, AI/ML categorization and false positive detection. Now, our customers can meet this new era of data complexity with confidence using the tools they already trust with an added layer of sophisticated data discovery and compliance management.”
Skyhigh DSPM tackles critical issues for enterprises:
As a leading SSE solution provider, Skyhigh Security is committed to helping customers embark on their DSPM journeys and achieve a robust data security posture seamlessly.
