BEIJING: Kling AI unveiled its 2.0 models at the “From Vision To Screen” event in Zhongguancun, introducing the KLING 2.0 Video Generation Model and KOLORS 2.0 Image Generation Model, marking a major leap in AI-driven creativity for film, advertising, and design.
1. AI’s Expanding Role in Visual Storytelling
“AI can do so much to help people express their ideas, but right now, the tools aren’t living up to their full potential,” said Mr. Gai Kun, Senior Vice President at Kuaishou and Head of Community Science. Kling AI is working to change that. So far, users have generated 168 million videos and 344 million images on the platform, streamlining workflows without sacrificing quality.
2. KLING 2.0 & KOLORS 2.0 Key Upgrades
“This upgrade isn’t just about better tech—it’s about giving creators more freedom,” explained Mr. Zhang Di, Vice President at Kuaishou and Head of Kling AI.
The KLING 2.0 video model delivers 10-second cinematic-grade generation with complex camera movements like zooms and pans. Its new Multi-modal Visual Language (MVL) supports mixed image-text-video inputs, while KOLORS 2.0 offers more than 60 artistic styles for professional needs.
3. Tools For Pros and Beginners
Kling AI wants to help both experts and newcomers. Over 15,000 developers already use its tools to build apps, generating 12 million images and 40 million videos for industries like advertising and gaming.
KOLORS 2.0 includes advanced editing tools like tweaking specific parts of an image (“local repaint”) or applying styles to match a film’s visual theme.
The platform keeps things simple with clean, easy-to-use interfaces. “Good tools shouldn’t require a manual,” said Zhang Di. To encourage more people to try AI creation, Kling AI also started the Kling AI NextGen Initiative, offering funding and training to support fresh talent.
4. Redefining the Future of Creative Expression
KLING 2.0 bridges imagination and execution, combining artistic vision with real-world physics. Its cinematic understanding of lighting, perspective and motion empowers creators at all levels—from professionals to beginners. As Gai Kun noted, this isn't about replacing human creativity, but expanding it.
