Organizations in highly regulated industries, such as financial services and government, are required to capture, monitor and archive work related text messages. CellTrust’s mobile communication platform SL2 Enterprise Capture streamlines mobile communication compliance through text/SMS/MMS/, chat, WhatsApp and voice capture, enables both App and Carrier Capture, moderation, and gateway hold, with the ability to maintain encryption of data in transit to long-term archivers for eDiscovery.

CellTrust’s Stacked Capture solution deploys both App Capture and Carrier Capture on the same device on the SL2 Enterprise platform to capture 100% of all text/SMS/MMS. With Mobile Device Management, iMessage can be fully disabled, closing a major gap in mobile compliance.

What is Carrier Capture and COBO?

Direct Carrier Capture is typically implemented as part of a corporate liable mobile device compliance strategy on Corporate Owned Business Only (COBO) mobile devices. COBO mobile devices issued to employees are both owned and fully managed by the business or government agency and restricted for work use only. Staff are not allowed to use them for personal purposes. A copy of all text messages (SMS/MMS) sent to and from the mobile device’s native messaging app are transmitted by the carrier and sent to CellTrust’s SL2 Enterprise platform, where they are then archived to an Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) platform for compliant storage and oversight.
