Seasoned Power Brokers Dennis Bosworth and John Olsen Join Snapper Creek as Co-Heads of Power Brokerage Desk to Lead Coverage of ERCOT and PJM Markets, Respectively

Adds Experienced Team of Seven Professionals to New Brokerage Desk Expanding Snapper Creek’s Boots-On-The-Ground Presence in Texas and the U.S. Northeast

MIAMI: Snapper Creek Energy (“Snapper Creek”), an innovative data-driven commodity brokerage specializing in traditional, renewable, and transitional energy markets, today announced the launch of its Power brokerage desk to provide specialized coverage across the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland Interconnection (PJM) power markets.

Snapper Creek also today announced that Dennis Bosworth and John Olsen have joined the firm as Co-Heads of the Snapper Creek Power desk, where they will lead coverage of the ERCOT and PJM markets, respectively. Mr. Bosworth brings nearly 20 years of wholesale U.S. power and gas markets experience to Snapper Creek, having most recently served as founder and Chief Executive Officer of Greenlight Commodities. Mr. Olsen has more than 30 years of brokerage experience in the wholesale Northeastern U.S. power markets, most recently serving as Head of U.S. Power at Marex. He previously spent two decades at TFS Energy, managing a team focused on NEPOOL, PJM, and NYISO. Messrs. Bosworth and Olson are supported by a team of experienced Power brokers, including James Bosworth and Andrew Gizienski, who are focused on the ERCOT power market, and Jacob Phenix, Wayne Sullivan and Alejandro Turullols, who are focused on the PJM power market.

“The establishment of the Snapper Creek Power desk underscores our commitment to capturing value in structurally complex power markets for the benefit of our clients,” said Sid Perkins, Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Snapper Creek. “With volatility increasing and renewables reshaping grid dynamics, the PJM and ERCOT markets present significant opportunities for alpha generation through sophisticated, region-specific trading strategies. We are confident that our Power desk – under the leadership of John and Dennis – will provide the highly localized market intelligence and enhanced execution capabilities our clients are seeking while broadening the offerings of the Snapper Creek platform.”

The Snapper Creek Power desk offers real-time monitoring, trading and risk management across the ERCOT and PJM regions, leveraging both fundamental and quantitative strategies. Key capabilities include short-term and long-term power trading, load forecasting, generation analysis and dispatch modeling, congestion and nodal pricing strategies, Financial Transmission Rights optimization and regulatory and market structure analysis.

“Snapper Creek has quickly earned a reputation as a trusted partner in the energy markets and I am pleased to join the team at this exciting point in its evolution,” added Mr. Olsen. “By adding dedicated coverage within PJM, one of the largest and most liquid electricity markets in North America, Snapper Creek will further diversify its offerings and provide market access to an attractive energy market of growing importance.”

“I am thrilled to join Snapper Creek, a firm well recognized for its deep energy sector knowledge, client-first approach and transaction execution,” commented Mr. Bosworth. “I look forward to leveraging my experience launching and leading firms at the intersection of finance, energy and trade to help Snapper Creek clients navigate the increasingly complex ERCOT power market with confidence and ease.”

Since inception in the fourth quarter of 2023, Snapper Creek has continued to strategically scale its platform with capabilities and talent to meet the evolving needs of its global clientele, which includes banks, macro hedge funds, specialized oil and gas investment funds, trading firms, market makers and oil companies, among others. Snapper Creek currently operates brokerage desks focused on natural gas, carbon, natural gas liquids (NGLs), Physical Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and now Power, alongside a variety of other gas and power offerings, from its offices in Miami, Houston, New York, Connecticut and London.
