Industry veteran brings extensive SaaS and technology experience to support company's expansion in media accessibility and localization markets
BOSTON: #accessibility--3Play Media, the leading media accessibility and localization provider in North America, today announced the appointment of Steve Nee as Chief Financial Officer. Nee joins the company's executive leadership team as 3Play Media continues to scale its AI-enabled solutions and expand its market reach in the global media accessibility and localization markets.
"We're thrilled to welcome Steve to our leadership team as we enter an exciting phase of growth and innovation," said Chris Antunes, Co-CEO and Co-founder of 3Play Media. "His deep financial expertise in scaling technology companies will be instrumental as we continue to develop new solutions."
Nee brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience with the last 10 years in the technology sector, with a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence at scaling companies. Prior to joining 3Play Media, he served as CFO at Thrasio. In that role, Steve led the finance team through a complex global transformation and recapitalization that will position the company for future growth. He was instrumental in operationalizing the company’s M&A strategy and subsequent rationalization to focus on high growth, profitable products.
In his role as CFO at 3Play Media, Nee will oversee all financial operations, including strategic planning, financial reporting, treasury, tax and investor relations. He will play a key role in supporting 3Play Media's continued expansion and innovation initiatives.
"The opportunity to support a mission-driven organization that's genuinely making content accessible to everyone, while leveraging cutting-edge AI technology, is incredibly compelling,” Nee said. “I look forward to helping scale the business and drive strategic growth as we expand our market leadership."
The appointment builds on 3Play Media's recent executive team expansion, including the promotion of Lily Bond to Chief Growth Officer and Dan Caddigan to Chief Technology Officer earlier this year. The appointment also comes as 3Play Media continues to expand its product suite, including recent launches of AI-enabled dubbing, audio description, and captioning solutions.
