DALLAS: A new survey by Yooz, a Cloud-based purchase-to-pay (P2P) automation provider, reveals that Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with the decline in quality that often accompanies the push for speed in business operations. According to the Yooz 2025 Business Speed Trap Report, 80% of Americans believe that when businesses prioritize speed, the quality of products and services suffers.
At the same time, the survey highlights a troubling trend in the workforce, with 55% of employees reporting increased stress and mistakes due to the pressure of rapid-response demands in their jobs. This shift to a "speed-first" mentality is not only affecting consumer satisfaction but is also taking a significant mental toll on workers.
The Yooz 2025 Business Speed Trap Report was conducted for Yooz by the third-party platform Pollfish. It aimed to understand how the demand for instant results is affecting both consumer expectations and employee well-being, uncovering key insights into the trade-offs businesses face when prioritizing speed.
Key findings include:
“Our research makes it clear that speed alone isn't the answer. Businesses today face a critical challenge: balancing instant results with sustained quality and employee well-being,” said Yooz Laurent Charpentier, CEO, Yooz. “Achieving this requires embracing smart speed—thoughtful automation that eliminates unnecessary delays, combined with strategic human oversight to ensure meaningful, high-quality outcomes. Companies that adopt this balanced approach will not only better meet consumer expectations but also empower their teams to thrive in the fast-paced era of immediacy.”
The Yooz 2025 Business Speed Trap Report was conducted for Yooz by the third-party platform Pollfish. To explore the impact of speed over quality on both consumer satisfaction and workplace stress, Yooz surveyed 1,000 U.S. adults.
