New CISO brings deep financial services expertise to support company's continued growth and commitment to AI transformation

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.: Ncontracts, the leading provider of integrated compliance, risk, and vendor management solutions to the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Clay Carter as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The addition of Carter to the executive team strengthens Ncontracts’ security posture as the company continues to grow and demonstrates its commitment to ensuring responsible AI governance across its expanding suite of intelligent compliance solutions.

Bringing nearly 20 years of cybersecurity leadership experience, Carter will lead Ncontracts' comprehensive security strategy across both the company's SaaS platform and corporate infrastructure. He will play a crucial role in Ncontracts’ AI transformation, ensuring security controls and governance for its AI and machine learning capabilities while maintaining the trust of its bank, credit union, and financial service customers.

"Joining Ncontracts as CISO is an incredible opportunity to champion a culture of security by design," Carter said. "My focus is on ensuring our technology, including our use of trustworthy AI, delivers on our promise to protect our clients. I'm excited to help Ncontracts continue to be a trusted partner in a dynamic industry."

Carter most recently served as Senior Vice President and CISO at Nielsen, where he led comprehensive security operations during a $16 billion go-private transaction and multiple business portfolio changes. Prior to Nielsen, he held senior product security leadership roles at Xylem Inc., where he built a 45-person global product security organization during the pandemic, and at GE Digital, where he developed security architectures for critical infrastructure. Carter holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering from the University of Virginia.

"Clay’s proven track record of building world-class security programs, combined with his deep understanding of financial services requirements, makes him the ideal leader to guide our security strategy,” said Michael Berman, founder and CEO of Ncontracts. “We are pleased to welcome him to our team and look forward to the positive impact he will make on our organization and for our customers.”

Carter joins Ncontracts as the company maintains its impressive growth trajectory, having been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the seventh consecutive year. With more than 5,000 financial institutions, fintechs, mortgage companies, and other financial services organizations relying on Ncontracts, Carter's appointment underscores the company's commitment to maintaining the highest security standards while accelerating innovation.
