Alex brings more than 18 years of progressive leadership experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing security risk strategies that align with regulatory and industry frameworks while enabling organizations to navigate evolving cyber threats across Fortune 500, public sector, and highly regulated industries. He has a proven record of building and maturing enterprise security governance frameworks, advancing cyber resilience, and advising executive stakeholders on risk-informed strategies to strengthen IT governance and compliance.

Prior to joining DLA, Alex served as Associate Director of Security Risk Management at Verizon, where he spearheaded enterprise-wide cyber governance initiatives for the Public Sector business, led compliance programs across FedRAMP, FISMA, and CMMC, and advised on cloud security architecture and DevSecOps integration. Previously, he served as Director of Cybersecurity Strategy & GRC at MorganFranklin Consulting, where he led regulatory compliance initiatives, established enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies, stood up the firm’s AI governance service line, directed data governance and privacy programs, and delivered comprehensive risk advisory services to clients across many industries. Earlier in his career, Alex held senior leadership roles with Baker Tilly, Deloitte, and EY, where he specialized in IT audit, governance frameworks, third-party risk management, and cybersecurity transformation programs.
