Adds to consistent industry recognition as a leader for the ExtraHop modern NDR platform, citing its threat detection, traffic analysis, and threat hunting capabilities

SEATTLE: ExtraHop®, a leader in modern network detection and response (NDR), today announced it has continued its streak of industry recognition by being named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Network Analysis and Visibility Solutions, Q4 2025.

The latest builds upon a year of continued analyst recognition, with ExtraHop also being named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Network Detection and Response, a Leader and Outperformer in the 2025 GigaOm Radar for Network Detection and Response (NDR) Solutions, and a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Network Detection and Response 2024 Vendor Assessment.

As threat actors increasingly hide within seemingly normal traffic to move laterally throughout the network and expand their control, ExtraHop detects them in real-time with complete, real-time visibility into the East-West corridor. With out-of-band decryption at speeds up to 100 Gpbs and the ability to decode 90+ network, application, and IoT protocols, ExtraHop customers gain the forensic context and confidence needed to identify threats and stop an attack before the damage is done.

In the Forrester Wave for NAV Solutions, which evaluates 12 vendors, ExtraHop received the highest possible score in 10 of the evaluated criteria, the second-most 5/5 scores achieved by any vendor in the assessment.

ExtraHop was the only vendor to earn the highest possible score in the Encrypted Traffic Analysis criterion, “a baseline requirement” for NAV solutions according to the analyst firm, in addition to the highest possible scores in the criteria of Detection Accuracy, Asset Discovery, and Threat Hunting – foundational elements required to detect and neutralize threats moving stealthily across the network.

According to the report, “ExtraHop’s ability to natively decrypt by extending beyond standard TLS or SSL protocols, such as Microsoft protocol decryption, is a differentiator for deeper traffic analysis and comprehensive detection of lateral movement.”

The report also states:

  • "Its MITRE ATT&CK framework mapping and visualizations are intuitive and superior to others in this evaluation.”
  • "With strong alignment between its vision and investments, the company is well-positioned to deliver substantial value while maintaining a strong user/analyst experience."
  • "Continued enhancements in sensors, hardware, IoT/OT visibility, cloud infrastructure, threat detection, and identity management position ExtraHop for success in terms of both coverage and context."
  • Enterprises operating in hybrid, multicloud, and containerized environments and staffed with dedicated, skilled analysts are likely to benefit from ExtraHop.”

“At ExtraHop, we solve a critical problem for the enterprise: delivering real, undeniable network visibility that gives security teams the confidence and clarity to stop attacks that others simply can't,” said Raja Mukerji, co-founder and Chief Scientist, ExtraHop. “We believe that consistent recognition as a leader by analysts is a powerful vote of confidence in our technology, but the real proof is in the results our customers achieve. Our pioneering approach to modern NDR ensures we don't just lead, we provide the definitive answer to modern threats."
