SAN FRANCISCO: At Microsoft Ignite 2025, Belt will announce Belt Desktop, a privacy-first hybrid-AI productivity app that keeps sensitive work local. The solution will be powered by Foundry Local and designed for AMD Ryzen™ AI PCs and compatible NPUs, enabling fast, on-device LLM inference with cloud support for collaboration and scale. Support for additional silicon vendors is coming soon.
Belt is an AI productivity app for email, calendar, contacts, and projects. Belt builds a knowledge graph from those sources then applies hybrid AI to triage email, manage workload, and get visibility across projects and deliverables.
With Belt, teams can:
Inboxes contain an organization’s most sensitive information like contracts, attachments, and private communications. Belt Desktop allows teams to run AI locally on compatible NPUs to triage and analyze contracts and other sensitive email attachments, keeping data on the desktop for privacy and efficiency.
“Most work hides in messages. Belt Desktop brings hybrid AI to where that work lives, locally, so teams move faster without sacrificing privacy,” said Keith Lipman, Co-founder and CEO of Belt.
“AMD is committed to empowering developers and businesses with AI that’s fast, efficient, and secure. Belt Desktop on AMD Ryzen™ AI PCs shows how hybrid AI can deliver real productivity gains while keeping sensitive data local. Together with Microsoft and Belt, we’re enabling a new era of privacy-first AI experiences for modern work.” - said Josh Hort, Sr. Director, Head of ISV Enablement at AMD.
