NEW YORK: Pipedrive, the easy and effective CRM for small businesses, is joining the global Orange the World campaign as the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence begin today. According to the World Health Organization, nearly one in three women worldwide has experienced physical and or sexual violence at least once in their lives. World Bank data show that fewer than 40 percent of countries have laws protecting women from cyber harassment or cyberstalking. Whether online or at home, the impact of abuse continues to limit safety, well-being and opportunity for millions.
Although digital violence is gaining prominence, domestic violence remains the form of abuse that most directly shapes people’s daily lives, health and ability to work. As a tech company, Pipedrive recognises the importance of ensuring that technology supports equality rather than harm, especially as digital spaces increasingly mirror and amplify offline abuse. A Vodafone study found that 94 percent of workers who have experienced domestic abuse say it has negatively affected their work performance. For many, the workplace can be the only safe environment to seek help.
Pipedrive’s participation in the campaign reflects a commitment to raising awareness, supporting affected individuals and fostering a workplace culture built on safety, dignity and respect for all.
“While Orange the World focuses on violence against women and girls, creating a safe and respectful environment is not a women’s issue. It is everyone’s responsibility,” said Jonny Carroll, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Pipedrive and an advocate for gender equality. “Gender-based violence, including digital violence, affects many communities, and meaningful progress requires participation and allyship from people of all genders. Our internal programs are designed to reinforce that shared responsibility and ensure that everyone at Pipedrive has the support, guidance and resources they need to recognise abuse, offer help and seek help when needed.”
To strengthen support for its employees, Pipedrive offers access to internal coaches who provide confidential counselling, as well as private health insurance that includes psychological care. Together with Pipedrive’s coach, Dr Liina Adov, the company has created a new internal resource hub that includes location-based lists of external organisations, hotlines and support services for women. This information will be shared on office screens globally. Today, Pipedrive’s Tallinn office will be lit in orange, the campaign’s global colour symbolising solidarity and a future free from violence.
As part of its commitment to long-term impact, Pipedrive is launching its first Women’s Employee Resource Group. The ERG aims to amplify women's voices across the organisation, empower allies and encourage active engagement, and drive practical actions that support gender equity. The Women’s ERG will work alongside the existing Men’s ERG and other community initiatives to help build a stronger, safer and more inclusive workplace for everyone.
The Orange the World campaign begins today, alongside thousands of organisations and communities worldwide, working together to raise awareness and drive action to end gender-based violence. With employees across multiple countries, Pipedrive is taking part to stand with survivors, increase visibility around the issue and promote collective responsibility for creating safer environments at work and beyond.
