SAN JOSE, Calif.: #FPGA--Altera Corporation, a global leader in FPGA-based solutions, today announced that its Agilex™ 5 FPGAs and SoCs family has been named a winner of the 2025 AspenCore World Electronics Achievement Award (WEAA) in the Processor/DSP/FPGA category. The WEAA program honors companies and individuals that demonstrate outstanding innovation and advance the global electronics industry.

Altera leaders received the World Electronics Achievement Award during a ceremony held in Shenzhen, China, on November 25. All nominated companies were evaluated by AspenCore’s senior global industry analysts alongside user groups from Asia, America, and Europe. Winners are recognized as industry leaders, reflecting strong market positions and exceptional performance.

Powered by Altera’s 2nd generation HyperFlex™ architecture, Agilex 5 devices set new benchmarks in performance, power efficiency, and design flexibility for next-generation intelligent systems. Agilex 5 is the industry’s first FPGA with AI tensor blocks infused throughout the FPGA fabric, which provides developers the ability to seamlessly accelerate AI compute with an FPGA. Their performance, ultra-low, deterministic latency and true hardware parallelism for sensor fusion make them ideal solutions for powering physical AI systems, including humanoid robots, AI-driven medical devices and autonomous vehicles.

“We’re honored to see the Agilex 5 FPGA family recognized by AspenCore and the global electronics community with this prestigious award,” said Venkat Yadavalli, Head of Business Management at Altera. “This recognition underscores how Altera’s industry-leading FPGA architecture is helping to redefine intelligent edge systems by pushing the boundaries of performance, power efficiency, and innovation.”

Agilex 5 FPGAs and SoCs deliver industry-leading performance-per-watt, support the latest LPDDR5 and DDR5 memory standards, offer post-quantum cryptography (PQC) secure boot, and feature high-speed serial transceivers. The FPGA was recently recognized with Critical Link’s Agilex 5 FPGA family of products, including its MitySOM-A5E family, which received a best-of-show award at the recent Embedded World North America 2025 conference.
