DENVER: #IncomeLab--Income Laboratory, Inc. (Income Lab), maker of award-winning retirement planning software, today announced the launch of an innovative AI Scribe, a new AI-powered capability that automatically transforms live client conversations into retirement plans.

The AI Scribe securely listens in on Zoom client meetings, captures the information that matters most, and automatically builds or updates an Income Lab plan, allowing advisors to stay focused on the conversation rather than manually entering data. When the meeting ends, the advisor receives a summary of the meeting, and a draft plan is immediately ready for advisor review in Income Lab.

The launch of AI Scribe comes just months after Income Lab introduced its AI Plan Builder, AI Assistant, and AI Interviewer, reinforcing the company’s leadership in applying artificial intelligence in ways that support (not replace) financial advisors. Income Lab’s AI tools are designed to reduce friction in the advisor workflow, helping advisors gain efficiency, spend more time with clients, and deliver a more seamless planning experience.

Income Lab’s expanding AI features have been developed in close collaboration with advisors, clients, and leading researchers, including Derek Tharp, Ph.D., CFP®, CLU®, of the University of Southern Maine, Conscious Capital, and Kitces.com. This research-driven approach focuses on identifying where advisor workflows break down, particularly around data gathering, plan updates, and post-meeting follow-through, and applying AI thoughtfully to remove those pain points while keeping advisors firmly in control of the retirement planning process.

The rapid adoption of AI notetaking tools such as Zocks and Jump has demonstrated the value of AI in addressing advisor data-entry pain points. Income Lab designed AI Scribe to complement those tools by ensuring meeting insights translate seamlessly and automatically into client plans, eliminating the need for manual re-entry and speeding up the planning process.

“We’re just beginning to see how AI tools like Income Lab’s Scribe can go beyond just note-taking to be a real partner in planning,” said Justin Fitzpatrick, president of Income Lab. “Before long, advisors will stop typing into little boxes on a screen and instead interact with planning software in a more natural, intuitive way. AI Scribe removes friction from the planning process so advisors can stay present with clients while the technology works quietly in the background.”

To learn more about the AI Scribe, join us for a live webinar on January 27 at 2:00 p.m. ET, featuring financial advisors who will share how AI tools, including the new AI Scribe, have transformed their workflows and positioned their firms for long-term success. Registration details can be found here. For more information about Income Lab’s full suite of retirement planning solutions, visit IncomeLab.io.
