Leadership expansion follows Cyera’s recent $9 billion valuation as the company enters its next chapter

NEW YORK: Cyera, the AI Security Platform, today announced the appointment of Brandon Sweeney as President, marking a significant milestone as the company enters its next phase following 3.4x growth over the past year. Alongside Sweeney’s appointment, Cyera added Shira Azran as Chief Legal Officer and elevated Joseph Iantosca to Chief Financial Officer and Sharon Shaked to Chief People Officer, deepening its leadership bench to meet accelerating customer demand for AI security.

Following its recent Series F funding round, tripling its valuation to $9 billion, Cyera has continued to expand rapidly as enterprises look to innovate in an increasingly AI-driven world. With accelerating adoption among global enterprises and a growing team, Cyera is investing in leadership and operational rigor, preparing the company for next major growth milestones.

As President, Sweeney will focus on evolving Cyera’s global go-to-market (GTM) organization, strengthening customer success and deepening alignment across product, sales, and partners to meet the demands of a global enterprise. He brings more than 30 years of experience leading and scaling technology companies through critical stages, from high-growth startups to global enterprises. Most recently, Sweeney served as President and COO at dbt Labs, where he helped lead the company through rapid growth and an agreed-upon multi-billion-dollar merger. Previously, he was Chief Revenue Officer at HashiCorp, helping guide through its IPO as Chief Revenue Officer, and spent 16 years at VMware in a range of senior leadership roles as the company expanded its global footprint.

“Cyera has reached a phase where leadership depth and operational rigor are as important as continued innovation,” said Yotam Segev, Co-founder and CEO of Cyera. “Brandon has led organizations through some of the most important transitions in modern enterprise technology, and his experience scaling global teams will be critical as we continue to build a durable, category-defining company.”

“I’ve spent my career helping technology companies navigate moments of rapid growth, and I’ve long admired teams that combine innovation with operational excellence,” added Sweeney. “Cyera is redefining data and AI security, and I’m thrilled to join the team and help scale the business in a way that supports customers, partners, and employees for the long term.”

As part of this broader leadership expansion, Cyera is deepening its executive bench to support its next chapter:

  • Shira Azran, Chief Legal Officer, leads Cyera’s global legal organization and plays a central role in supporting continued scale, governance, and long-term readiness. Shira brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior partner in Meitar, Israel’s leading laws firm, advising technology companies, founders, investors, sellers and acquirers, in a wide range of corporate transactions, from financings, mergers and acquisitions and strategic decision making. She has worked with Cyera since its earliest days, having helped establish the company at its founding and throughout its growth.
  • Joseph Iantosca, Chief Financial Officer, will continue to lead Cyera’s finance organization and oversee financial strategy, focusing on deepening the operational scale and infrastructure required of a global enterprise business. Prior to Cyera, he served as COO at BetterCloud and held finance roles at Palantir, where he helped support the company’s evolution into a global enterprise.
  • Sharon Shaked, Chief People Officer, will continue to lead global people strategy as Cyera expands across regions and teams at an exponential rate, focusing on building a cohesive culture at scale, supporting global growth, and ensuring Cyera continues to attract, develop, and retain top talent as the organization evolves. Prior to Cyera, Sharon built and scaled partnership-driven organizations, aligning with overarching business goals and driving innovation and growth within organizations.

“We’re building Cyera with a long-term view,” added Segev. “Investing in experienced leadership across the company ensures we’re prepared for the many chapters ahead.”
