Company Seeks Visionaries Who Will Take Healthcare Into the Future

PLEASANTON, Calif.: #AI--CharmHealth, a leader in healthcare technology solutions for providers, today announced the launch of its 2026 Innovation Challenge. Now in its sixth year, the renowned competition has surfaced and supported several promising startups that will define the future of healthtech, including Modality.AI, Eysz, and My Diabetes Tutor.

The CharmHealth Innovation Challenge is regarded as one of the most important competitions in the industry, due to its narrow focus on digital health and electronic health records (EHRs). The competition was designed from the beginning to support visionaries who use technology specifically and strategically to evolve care.

“Healthcare affects each of us, and game-changing ideas can come from anywhere. This is why we welcome all innovators, entrepreneurs, students, nonprofits and philanthropists to participate in our Innovation Challenge,” said Pramila Srinivasan, Ph.D., CEO of CharmHealth. “We will provide the mentorship, connections and funding to help turn the seeds of an idea into a business that can transform healthcare delivery, efficiency and accessibility. Together, we can solve some of healthcare’s greatest challenges.”

Following a record year for submissions in 2025, CharmHealth again will place a heavy emphasis on AI-powered solutions. This year’s categories include: Hardware-Accelerated AI, Agentic AI, Tech-Led Innovations, Mobile Health Applications, Healthcare Accessibility, and Population Health. CharmHealth will offer cash prizes across these six categories: $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $2,500 for third place.

In addition, participants will benefit from expert mentorship from leaders throughout the CharmHealth ecosystem as well as hands-on workshops and integration opportunities with CharmHealth’s EHR platform. CharmHealth also provides connections to potential customers, partners and investors through its CharmHealthHub, facilitating real-world adoption and scaling opportunities.

Applicants can complete a custom submission form here. A select group of finalists with expertise in healthcare technology and innovation will be chosen to present their products and services at a special Pitch Day during CharmHealth’s annual user conference, Charmalot.

Changing Healthcare Delivery

Last year’s winners include Sanna Gaspard, Ph.D., founder and CEO of Rubitection, maker of the Rubitect Assessment System, a low-cost, easy-to-use, handheld system that empowers anyone to monitor the health of their skin for early identification of a range of conditions; Voice Health, a practice-specific AI that answers phones, makes calls, and replies to text messages to fully automate repetitive administrative tasks and streamline clinical operations; and Payal Bhandari, MD, founder and CEO of Thymos Health, developer of science-based autoimmune care plans that support patients with the insights required to improve health and make lasting changes according to patient-specific needs and goals.

“The Innovation Challenge was an intimate conference experience which gave direct access to potential clinician partners and presenters, such as Mohan Iyer from SOSV,” said Gaspard. “I made several contacts that I am looking to nurture to support partnership development and company growth.”

Individuals, startups and organizations interested in participating in the 2026 Innovation Challenge can submit their proposals free of charge through the official website at www.charmhealthchallenge.com.
