Strong support for Montreal-based AI solution addressing the critical need for enterprise cloud optimization
MONTRÉAL: JetScale AI, a Quebec-based company specializing in cloud infrastructure optimization, announced the closing of a $5.4 million funding round to accelerate its growth and deployment across North America and Europe. JetScale AI is led by Mehdi Merai and Gabriel De Lisi, two seasoned AI experts who previously co-founded, scaled and successfully exited pioneering ML company Dataperformers. JetScale AI was co-founded by Diagram through its venture studio model, which has also established successful Canadian technology companies Nesto and Dialogue. The Seed Venture Fund of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Diagram ClimateTech Fund co-led the seed round, with support from several well-established players, including Telegraph Ventures, Fondaction and Mavrik as well as Cycle Momentum and Spring Impact Capital.
JetScale AI supports any organization whose operations increasingly rely on rapidly growing cloud infrastructure, increasing the challenges they pose for the management and optimization of their cloud spending. The rise of AI workloads is intensifying this pressure, making cloud computing costs one of the largest budget items for many companies.
JetScale AI’s platform delivers instant diagnostics, clear action plans and easy-to-implement remediations. Tasks that until recently required several weeks of work by highly specialized experts can now be completed in just minutes by any IT team using JetScale AI. This directly drives bottom-line savings for customers, reduces the environmental impact associated with overburdened datacenters, and enables a more efficient and secure cloud infrastructure.

“We’re excited to partner with Mehdi and Gabriel to tackle the massive and fast-growing problem of cloud energy use, especially as unprecedented compute demand strains the electric grid. JetScale AI is redefining cloud engineering by building the AI-powered control layer that enterprises have been missing to continuously optimize their infrastructure. Eliminating waste from overprovisioned resources is a win-win: it offers meaningful cost savings for customers and reduces energy waste. This aligns perfectly with Diagram ClimateTech's mission to back market-driven digital solutions for climate’s biggest challenges.”
