NUREMBERG, Germany: Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global end-to-end IoT solutions provider, today announces the launch of the SH603ZA-AP smart module, designed to support a wide range of interfaces for commercial and industrial use cases. Offering commercial grade and industrial grade CPU and GPU options, the SH603ZA-AP also offers an NPU with 6TOPS performance, making it ideal for a large range of edge computing applications.

“It’s exciting to bring the SH603ZA-AP smart module to market because of the wide range of use cases, especially in edge computing, that it supports,” commented Zeljko Maric, Product Development Manager, EMEA, Smart IoT, Quectel Wireless Solutions. “The platform offers a wide range of interfaces with greater choice than other modules to ensure that customer use cases can be supported with the interfaces they need. In addition, customers can draw on Quectel’s connectivity module expertise to ensure their preferred connectivity technology can be supported if desired.”

The smart module offers interfaces for LCM, camera, audio, USB, PCIe, SATA, RGMII, UART, SD card, CAN and support for I2C, I2S, ADC, SPI, PWM, Keypad and GPIO. Utilizing the RK3576 or RK3576J chipset platform, the Quectel SH603ZA-AP offers powerful system performance supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and EBC. Although the smart module is application-processor-only and does not include integrated connectivity, Quectel provides comprehensive support to enable the wireless technologies customers require. From selecting and integrating cellular or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules to driver porting and system optimization, Quectel helps ensure seamless connectivity implementation and accelerated time to deployment.

The Quectel SH603ZA-AP offers multiple memory configurations and the choice of Linux Kernel 6.10, Android 14, Ubuntu or Debian operating systems. With both CE and RCM certifications underway, the smart module has dimensions of 44mm x 43mm x 2.9mm and will have a long lifespan extending to 2035. Typical applications include industrial tablets, smart screens, smart safety use cases, attendance machines, edge computing, smart NVR, smart automobiles and E-ink displays.

In addition, Quectel offers an extensive portfolio of high-performance antennas engineered to deliver dependable connectivity across cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GNSS technologies. For specialized applications, Quectel also provides bespoke antenna design and tuning services, ensuring optimal signal performance, seamless integration, and compliance with project-specific requirements.
