Logile's new unified platform synchronizes customer demand, labor capacity, and true cost visibility to coordinate production, inventory, waste, and food safety across fresh operations.
DALLAS: Logile, Inc., a global leader in AI-powered Connected Workforce solutions, today introduced its Fresh Operations Management suite, centered on a new operating model designed for how fresh actually works.
The platform brings together three critical elements that are typically managed in isolation – customer demand, labor capacity, and true cost visibility – and uses them to continuously align production, inventory, waste control, and food safety execution throughout the day. This helps grocers improve on-shelf availability, reduce shrink and waste, and operate fresh departments with greater consistency and control.
Fresh departments remain one of physical retail’s most powerful competitive advantages, driving traffic, basket growth, and brand differentiation. Yet, it is notoriously difficult to manage due to short freshness windows, fluctuating demand, labor-intensive production, and fragmented operational systems.
Logile Fresh Operations Management addresses this challenge by using a single demand signal to guide production, inventory, waste, and food safety execution within one coordinated model. As demand shifts throughout the day, the platform adjusts production and staffing in real time, keeping execution aligned and helping retailers improve availability while reducing waste and inconsistency.
“Fresh is where retailers win with customers, but it’s also where disconnected decisions create the most operational risk,” said Purna Mishra, Founder and CEO of Logile. “By aligning production, labor, inventory, and execution to a single demand signal, we give retailers a coordinated way to run fresh operations in real time.”
A Different Way to Run Fresh Operations
Logile Fresh Operations Management is built on Logile’s Connected Workforce Platform and reflects a fundamentally different approach to managing fresh. Instead of treating production, labor, inventory, and compliance as separate functions, Logile brings them together around a single demand signal, keeping decisions continuously aligned as conditions change throughout the day. Static plans are replaced with dynamic execution that reflects how customers shop and how stores actually operate.
At the center of this approach are three coordinated principles: customer demand, labor-aware execution, and true cost visibility. A unified forecast guides production and inventory decisions, labor is aligned to actual workload and production needs, and item-level economics reflect not just ingredient costs, but also labor, shrink, and markdown risk. The result is a system where planning and execution stay in sync, enabling more consistent operations and better financial outcomes.
Logile Fresh Operations Management is delivered through four integrated solution areas:
Together, these capabilities establish a coordinated operating model for fresh–replacing disconnected tools with a single system that aligns planning, execution, and outcomes.
Leading Grocers Transform Fresh Operations with Logile
Retailers deploying Logile’s fresh platform are already seeing measurable operational gains. Vallarta Supermarkets implemented Logile’s Fresh Inventory Management solution to replace fragmented production planning with a unified, demand-driven model. An independent Nucleus Research analysis found the deployment delivered a 1070% ROI and a 15.2-month payback period, with more than $10 million in attributable profit projected within three years and sales increases across produce, bakery, taqueria, and seafood.
“Logile’s technology has helped us modernize our approach, bringing centralization, better structure and visibility to fresh food management,” said Steve Netherton, Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Continuous Improvement at Vallarta. “Vallarta has seen a significant reduction in pitch and donation and now has enterprise visibility into performance compliance. Our associates can work more efficiently within a single seamless platform to reduce waste and ensure customers always find the fresh items they expect.”
Other large retailers are using Logile to transform store operations at scale. Northgate González Market adopted Logile’s Connected Workforce platform to unify forecasting, labor planning, inventory, fresh production, and food safety across its stores, resulting in a 23% productivity improvement, a 25% reduction in overtime, and a 31% decrease in full-time employee turnover.
“Our relationship with Logile has been built on trust, innovation and a shared vision for excellence,” said Tom Herman, Chief Strategy Officer at Northgate González Market. “As we continue modernizing our operations, Logile remains a key partner in helping us unify our systems, optimize our labor, and elevate food safety and forecasting.”
“When retailers understand the true economics of fresh and align production with real demand, fresh departments become a strategic advantage,” Mishra said. “Our goal is to help grocers turn fresh into a scalable engine for growth, loyalty, and margin.”
