PETALUMA, Calif.: Nelson Connects today announced the expansion of its services to include Employer of Record (EOR), Independent Contractor Compliance (ICC), and Agent of Record (AOR) services, marking a pivotal step in the company’s evolution into a global workforce solutions partner.

With this expansion, Nelson Connects enables organizations to recruit, hire, manage, and scale talent across the United States and in more than 180 countries, without the client’s need to establish legal entities or navigate complex compliance frameworks.

The move reflects a broader shift in how companies build their workforces, as organizations increasingly rely on a mix of full-time employees, contractors, and global talent.

“Workforce complexity has fundamentally changed,” said Craig Nelson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nelson Connects. “Our clients are no longer operating within a single geography or employment model. They need a partner who can simplify hiring, ensure compliance, and support growth across borders. This expansion reflects our commitment to meeting that need with a high-touch, human-centered approach that sets us apart.”

Nelson Connects’ expanded offerings build on deep institutional experience in global workforce solutions. Through its historical connection to iWorkGlobal, a pioneer in employer of record and contractor compliance services later acquired by Velocity Global (now Pebl), the organization brings proven expertise in supporting compliant hiring across international markets.

The newly expanded solutions include:

  • Employer of Record (EOR): Enables companies to hire employees globally while Nelson Connects manages payroll, benefits, compliance, and employment administration
  • Independent Contractor Compliance (ICC): Provides classification assessments, documentation management, and compliance oversight to reduce risk in contractor engagements
  • Agent of Record (AOR): Manages contractor agreements, invoicing, and payments, simplifying contractor relationships and operations

Together, these services are delivered through a single, integrated model that combines recruiting and staffing, contractor management, and employer of record infrastructure into one partner experience, reducing operational complexity and vendor fragmentation.

“Companies are trying to move faster, enter new markets, and stay compliant, all at the same time,” said Melissa Oliva, Executive Vice President of Field Operations. “Having built and operated these services in high-growth environments, I’ve seen what works and where companies struggle. What makes Nelson Connects different is that our approach is grounded in how these programs actually operate day‑to‑day, with the structure and oversight required to prevent small issues from becoming big problems through high-touch service.”

By unifying staffing, contractor compliance, and employer of record services into one integrated solution, Nelson Connects is positioned to help organizations hire faster, reduce compliance risk, and scale their workforce with greater flexibility and control.
