SEATTLE: #MyFreeScoreNow--MyFreeScoreNow (MFSN) is continuing its legal efforts to secure the return of its customer data following the Court’s initial ruling on its request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), reinforcing its commitment to protecting customers, partners and consumer choice. For months, MFSN worked diligently and in good faith to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue without the cost and disruption of litigation. It was only after it became clear ConsumerDirect would not voluntarily return MFSN’s customer data the company sought the Court’s assistance.
“This is part of the legal process,” said Bruce Cornelius, CEO of MyFreeScoreNow. “We remain confident in our position and fully committed to doing what’s right for our customers and partners.”
The customer data belongs to MFSN and having it back is essential to ensuring customers can access services without disruption and partners can continue serving their clients effectively.
“We made every effort to resolve this matter the right way,” Cornelius added. “When that path was no longer an option, we took the appropriate steps to stand up for our customers and partners. We understood the high bar required for this type of relief, but it was important to take that step.”
MFSN emphasized the company’s focus remains on minimizing disruption, maintaining trust and continuing to deliver reliable credit monitoring tools.
“Our mission has always been centered on access, transparency and putting customers first,” said Cornelius. “That commitment guides every decision we make, including how we handle situations like this.”
With the case now moving forward, MFSN will continue pursuing all available legal avenues while maintaining strong momentum across its platform and partner network.
