Leveraging the Chainlink compliance standard enables institutions to verify once and reuse identity credentials across blockchains
SAN FRANCISCO: Persona has partnered with Chainlink, the industry standard oracle platform, to power compliant on-chain identity via the Chainlink Automated Compliance Engine (ACE). As a core component of Chainlink ACE, the Cross-Chain Identity (CCID) framework helps enable institutions to verify users once with Persona and reuse those credentials across blockchains, protocols, and asset managers without re-running KYC or exposing sensitive data on-chain.
Institutions moving capital on-chain face a structural problem. Blockchains, protocols, and platforms operate in isolation today, with no shared standard for identity verification. That forces institutions to duplicate KYC processes, fragment compliance records, and take on additional regulatory risk with each new integration.
As traditional financial institutions move into tokenized assets, gaps in compliance infrastructure are becoming more visible. While the market is projected to reach $10–16 trillion by 2030, onboarding and verification processes have not kept pace, creating friction that slows adoption and raises costs. Persona is partnering with Chainlink to address this directly: with ACE, verified credentials are attached to a user’s wallet and can be checked instantly by participating platforms, enabling immediate approval based on use case without redundant verification while keeping sensitive data off-chain.
Key benefits and features
“The Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) represents a major step toward making compliant on-chain participation scalable for institutions,” said Drew Leonard, Crypto Product Lead at Persona. “By enabling a shared, reusable identity layer across ecosystems, ACE helps shift compliance from fragmented, one-off processes to something that can be embedded directly into how on-chain markets operate.”
“Institutional adoption starts with trusted identity and clear eligibility controls,” said Rick Song, CEO and co-founder of Persona. “We’re seeing strong demand from crypto companies looking to serve institutional users. By integrating Persona with Chainlink ACE, organizations can bring verified KYC and KYB signals directly into policy-driven on-chain workflows, reducing onboarding friction while enabling scalable, verifiable compliance across markets.”
By partnering with Chainlink, Persona’s identity infrastructure enables a portable, verifiable identity layer for digital assets, giving institutions a way to scale on-chain strategies without introducing new compliance risk.
